They had the coach on 5AA a short while ago confirming it.
No doubt it will be on the sports news today or tomorrow.

Liverpool misfit Harry Kewell is said to be in talks about a return to Australia, to become the ‘face’ to an A-League team by the start of 2010.

Kewell is expected to try another franchise proposal as part of a consortium after he failed in 2004 to create “Sydney Blues” which was rejected in favour of “Sydney F.C.”.

“We have spoken to a number of people over the years and will continue to to do so over years to come.” said Kewell’s manager Bernie Mandic.

“Hopefully someone will recognise Harry’s formula for the A-League is the only one he will be involved in. To date, they haven’t.” he added.

There was an April Fools Day joke played here in the Riverland today.
ABC said if the Big Orange wasn't sold by 11pm today, it would be moved to Mildura. They had a truck there to take it and protesters trying to stop it.
A work-mate breathlessly came into the office today to tell me all about it, before she realised what day it was.

Money in a venture like that doesn't come from locals, it comes from tourists.
And tourists want a bit more than a papier mache Orange.
It needs to diversify, but with the drought and current economic conditions, there just isn't enough money going in to justify having it open.
Or so I understand.

Not quite DW. I think the only way up for them now is to get some of the points deducted back. Gary McCalister is the manager out that way now and is starting to get them moving in the right direction again after a real dodgy patch, but it might just be too little too late.

I for one would be very happy id they got back up. Great games against them and they usually bring 5,000 fans with thm which helps our coffers no end.

What's with the Championship ATM ? Bristol & Stoke ? When was the last time those teams were in the EPL ? Or have they ever been ?
Hull City (go you Tigers) also ! First time in a while where you look at the tabel and not one relegated side from the EPL last season is sitting
either 1,2 or 3...
How close is the play off race...Cardiff would be the furthest outside chance sitting in 12th !! What a great league it is and looking forward to Derby coming down and kicking some ass

Stoke have been up there before. Was a great side when good old Stan Matthews played for them, oh and Jimmy McIlroy, the greatest Claret of them all (did I say he shares my box at Turf Moor, great man)

Hull, never, and I think Bristol City enjoyed a year at the top in the 70's or 80's.

Agree though, great year this year in the CCC, but that might not bode well for any of the sides that get promoted this year. I just think the standard is falling further behind. To make a fist of it in the EPL you really have to be a cut above the rest in the CCC, like Reading a couple of years ago, and West Ham et all.

Somehow you get the feeling that Derby's lowest points hall in EPL history will be broken next year, possibly by two or even all three sides.
