Great result for the Olyroos playing on an artificial pitch that was frozen, would have been slightly different conditions to Gosford last Saturday night, great effort to come back from 1 nil down.

BTW - is there any other Olympic sport in which pre-qualifying rounds get this much attention?

An interesting point in today's papers in the UK is that Didier Drogba has informed Chelski that he wants to put his hald up for selection to play for the Ivory Coast in the Olympics as one of their 3 'over 23's'.

That should add some interest to the comp and could also put the nail in the coffin for his Chelski career.

Onya Olyroos.

=D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

I really hope that Arnold keeps the job of coaching these lads as by all reports
he is a good people person and manager.
I also hope, they DO NOT include overage players (3), as I feel that these lads
qualified the hard way, and they ALL deserve a chance to represent their country
on one of the big stages of football.
AWESOME stuff...I saw them play a couple of games at Hindmarsh and we have
some very good talent. Triosi was a gun last night as what that boy Milligan.
The Voik in goal must be getting very close to overtaking motormouth Swarz
as AUSTRALIA'S number one keeper. Outstanding talent and a bright future in
Europe beckons...

Basketball possibly, but I don't hear too much about baseball.

None of them get more exposure than the swimming trials

Good question.

A think Triathloning is another where participants qualify for the Olympic's before hand

The Voik in goal must be getting very close to overtaking motormouth Swarz

he has to get in front of at least 3 others before getting near MS
