Smeltz has had a great start to the season and is the perfect foil for the Brazilian striker on his side..... he gets under the guard of defenders.... I agree he would be the third striker at AU on current form......
And yes..... he should sack his hairdresser.....
Wellington have suprised me this season.... I keep backing against them and doing my ass........

Smeltz scored a brilliant goal early, had three or four other chances and was the only Wellington player that showed any sort of fight. The rest were pathetic. He would fit nicely into the Adelaide team. The referee made some pathetic decisions last night.

I saw Kosmina in Qantas club last Monday morning on his way to Sydney, only the previous Sydney coach wasnt sacked until Tuesday. All adds weight to the rumour that a backdoor deal was done with Kosmina a long time before the previous coach was sacked.

I agree with you AG, they can have him.

Wellington can have Smeltz - we jammed four (five) past them without him.

Nice that five (six) goals were scored during the game, all by Adelaide players ;)

Ha ha Aloisi.

That is true.

The boys the goals on Sunday were taunting the Wellington keeper with "you must be sh*t if Giraldi got one past you mate".

Aren't Wellington an interesting side?
They seem to be able to beat anyone.
I think Smeltz fits into their side perfectly, why should United want him?
If i was Smeltz, i would stay at Wellington.
He shines there, and despite the side being average, he lifts them to a whole new level.
Still a terrible haircut, and an average last name, but an exciting player who can tear teams apart at any position on the ladder.

he was the standout player for wellington last week. probably because he had someting to prove against the side that dumped him. If he carries that same form through he should do OK against perth. Not a fan of wellingtons lone striker game plan though, he would do better of he had more support.

yeah Utd dumped him but then went and recruited a youngster that could possibly put an extra $1 mill into the bank account. What did Shane do? went and played lower division soccer in England and ended up in the bottom professional league before going home

In the paper this week Burns has been valued at around $1 mill for the up coming transfer window in the new year. Only catch is he drops 750k when out of contract at the end of this season but is he is unable to get a work permit to work in England so he could stay for a bit longer. If he does stay I think his preference is Adelaide...
