I didnt say we will get him but we ARE definately having a crack, melbourne victory has offered a huge deal and are favourites at this point. Sydney and newcastle have made bids aswell. United are in the process.

Harry (and his agent) have always gone to the highest bidder over his career. Not sure how Adelaide could afford to pay him more then any of Sydney / Melb / Asia / MLS.

I doubt Kewell will even come back to the A-League, and if he did I don't think it would be to Adelaide, but I'm glad the board is at least having a crack. They wouldn't be doing their job if they sat on their hands and didn't at least make an enquiry or two.

Yeah he was always going to take a bigger pay cheque unfortunately. Suprised he went to China though, their league is absolute rubbish, thought he might of tested himself in Jaoan or Korea

Losing Flores is a massive blow to both Adelaide United and the A League as a whole. Not only the quality and brilliant moments of magic he provides on the field but the fact he is a great ambassador for the game. When ever you see him talk in interviews you can see how much he loves the game, he was a great asset for the club and will be sorely missed this coming season. The club should have broke the bank to keep him.

Shame that he's going to a crap league, it would have been easier to take if he went to a big team in a quality league :(

There are at least half a dozen more important players in the comp but there is no-one more exciting to watch. Not just a massive loss for United but for the A-League as well.

Did hear a very disturbing story on my travels today. A person close to the club has told me Marcos was absolutely gutted as he wanted to stay but Uniteds owners wanted to collect the $500,000 transfer fee. If this is true they can stick their membership up their ass. It appears United have driven out a champion.

Looking at the picture on the back of today's paper, that's probably true, Griffin is laughing all the way to the bank.

Flores must be close to the only player who has left a club ans his stocks with supporters has actually increased by a bucket load. Looking at the effort he has been making to connect with his fans before he goes and his genuine love of the club has been good and just shows what a quality individual he is. Hopefully the reds can go back to well in argentina and find something similar.
