Good luck to ya ! Actually Paulo (Milktruck in the Fantasy) lives in Portugal
he's a Belenenses man...

Paulo is a lucky, lucky man. Portugal is may favourite country in the world. The people are sooo nice and friendly and generally speak good English (take note you Frenchies and Spaniards!!!). It's a beautiful place, despite a lot of buildings being quite rundown - it adds to the charm of the place. It has awesome weather, nice beaches and the beer and food tastes amazing and is cheap as chips.

What more could you want?!!!

As it sits...GROUP B

GROUP B. (games played, goal difference & points)
Coatia.............2.................2.................6
Germany..........2.................1.................3
Austria............2.................-1................1
Poland.............2.................-2................1

Croatia are through ! The next round sees the Germans v the Austrian, and Poland takes on Croatia.
Germany need a point, and should progress IF Poland does not beat Croatia by about 4 goals or more...
If Germany and Austria draw, the Germans are in depending Poland drawing/losing or winning by less then 4.

It actually goes on head to head so it will be a miracle for Poland to go through, Croatia finish top and therefore won't have to play Portugal next round.

A Portugal vs Germany quarter final looms....

I hope you are watching SJABC!!!!! KNVB!

Robben to Van Persie after a beautiful piece of work by Van nistlerooy - 2-0 to your Dutchies - could be bye bye Frenchies! - but I really hope it's bye bye Iti's.

Iti's should have been eliminated today, had Mutu converted his penalty in the 81st. Brilliantly / LUCKILY saved by Bufoon (loved that one from above!!!).

Gotta say a big FU to Luca Toni, that diving, cheating, whinging, pathetic, worthless waste of good oxygen! In about the 86th he had a decent chance to stick out his peg and at least put contact on the ball in a goalwards direction from a good cross into the box, but he was too busy throwing himself into the Romanian defender and trying to seal a penalty.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh how I hope the Dutchies play their second stringers and allow Romania through to know out both the Frenchies and Spagetios.

I really hope you are seeing this Jab!

Henry just scored a good goal for Francs to bring it back to 2-1 and gace them hope. At the restart, a string of beautiful passes put Robben into space on the right, and he then scored what will be the goal of the tournament from an impossible angle under pressure.

Outstanding!

Can't see ze Chermans being good enough defensively to hold the Portuguese after their display against the Croats. The question will be whether the Alamenians have the fire power to score more goals than Ronnie and co. I doubt it.

Yawn !! Very tired, but very content...

What an awesome display by the Oranje !

Ruud's superb flick, pivot, back heel thingamebob, to Arjen was just simply devine...

Arjen had a cracker of a game and will start the next one...

Wow we are flying. van der Sar is having a ripper of a tourny !!

FACT. The Netherlands have never been knocked out in group stages in a final of Euro or the WC. (stand to be corrected)....

HUP HOLLAND !!

Ruud's pirouette

The only way I could describe it...Ruud pull off this incredible manoeuvre, Arjen runs the half of the pitch, and places a perfect cross to van Persie.

It was Ruud's goal IMO, and absolute cracker of a move to set up Robben's run !! WOW !!

OK now GROUP C

GROUP C. (games played, goal difference & points)
Netherlands..........2................6.................6
Romania...............2.................0.................2
France..................2................-3.................1
Italy......................2................-3.................1

So the Netherlands are through  , they play Romania where a point will take them through. The French & Italians play.

Will the Netherlands, wanting Romania in the quarters and knocking out two of the tournament favourites let 'em win ?
That's what they'll do. Let Romania win, still finish top and seeya France/Italy !!

If they beat Romania then it's game on with the Frogs & Divers....

Romania will have to beat Holland if they are to assured of progressing. Otherwise, they will have to rely on a draw between France and Italy.

Another amazing display by the Dutch.

At the start of the tournament it was mentioned that they would stop the flair and try and win games ugly.. which they haven't done in the past. Still, it's only the group stage but to demolish both France and Italy is a fantastic effort.. hopefully they can go on with it as I would love to see them win it. I jumped on the bandwagon pre-tournament as I do almost every time they play.. it would be fantastic if they kept this up.

GROUP D. (games played, goal difference & points)
Spain.................2................4.................6
Sweden..............2................1.................3
Russia................2................-2................3
Greece...............2................-3................0

Spain are through, Greece are out. Who ever takes a point
in the Sweden/Russia game are through.

OK...Conspiracy theory time...

I've had a look at the draw and the winner of Group C (The Netherlands) play the runner up of Group D.
I'd assume it'd be either Sweden or Russia. Now on current form the Dutch would beat either of those
to then go to the semi's and play the winner of the other game which is the winner of Group D V Group C.

Now to my theory...if Romania get through courtesy beating the Dutch, then they'll play Spain in the QF.
Spain should beat Romania and then set up a Dutch v Spanish Semi...

I'd prefer the Dutch to play Spain (looking ahead) then either France or Italy. Would the Dutch feel the same
or would they not be getting ahead with themselves ? Interesting !! :D

Well done to the Swiss on beating Portugal 2-0 - good way for them to finish the tourney in front of their home fans. Bloody scolari has killed my dream team dammmmmmit!

Anyhoo, on the other game, Turkey are through in an absolute thriller with the Czechs. The Czech Republic had the points in the bag and were literally through with about 70 mins played with the score a comfortable 2-0.

The Turks scored on about 72 and looked a little more lively after being bloody boring for the first half. The czechs continued to push and a goalmouth scramble in the Turkish box resulted in their keeper being sent off for God knows what - frigging ridiculous decision unless it was for some sort of abouse which I couldn't hear.

Enter Yakin. On 90min, the Turks crossed the ball into the Czech box for an easy take by Cech, which he totally forked up (Paul Robinson style!!!!!) and gifted the equaliser to Yakin. After the restart the Turks stole posession back, charged up the field and scored a relatively easy goal and knocked the Czechs out - brilliant stuff as a neutral fan. Now all the Czech republic fans know what Spurs supporters feel like!
