There was at least 2 red teams in the nsl when they entered and the light blue would have been a point of difference.
Ummm i always thought it was pretty obvious the Sydney side was going to go with a light blue type strip considering its NSW 'state' colour.

But AUFC were an established team before the A-League, hence their colours would have carried over as did Glorys.

Adelaide United have been left red-faced, with the club admitting they offered a trial to a player who does not exist.
The Reds announced on Wednesday two overseas players had been offered a trial following an extensive search abroad to locate new recruits.
Portuguese striker Fabio Ferreira, formerly of Chelsea, and American Dexter Rosales were the players in question.
"Their pedigree is good and we've got to cast the net far and wide, so they'll come here on trial and we'll have a look at them," Adelaide United coach John Kosmina said in a statement.
Reds football director Michael Petrillo confirmed Rosales was pencilled in to train with the squad: "Rosales has been recommended to us. He's paying his own way here."
However, Adelaide acknowledged on Monday Rosales had not arrived and the club had been fooled by an elaborate hoax.

I have not been approached to coach at the WFC this year, next year or any year. I have not approached the WFC to coach this year, next year or any year. This is an unconditional statement.

I think the club haven't really marketed this game/season very well and have missed an opportunity to get some non regular fans and neutrals to this game
