Round 12 - Bye Bye Whitfield!

Yes folks it's the dreaded bye rounds where you can burn 50 percent more trades each week and end up with a lower score and possibly a weaker side by the end of it. Not only have a few coaches said goodbye in recent weeks it's also time to say bye bye to defensive gun Lachie Whitfield who has a broken collarbone and will be out for 4-6 which means he will miss 3-5 matches. The good news is that Williams is a likely starter, the bad news is that Whitfield is out which makes it several weeks now that the Giants will be without both.
Now I've been a good boy this year by not trading out these injured guys but this season is starting to test my ******* patience.

I think you have to really. 4-6 is a fair haul. Got a reasonably high breakeven as well so might get him back later but FMD I've got Williams and Whitfield and haven't had them on the field at the same time for months. Starting to drop matches now because of injury.

Williams seems to score better when Whitfield isn't playing though... I was considering bringing him in but I'm probably gonna go with Lloyd instead...

If I'm willing to take round 13 fair up the tailpipe I'll come out alright and not burn too many trades to set myself up for a decent crack at the run home.
Having Melbourne and Collingwood both having the bye in the same round will retard most ruck duo's, throw in Geelong, West Coast, Brisbane and Sydney and that stuffs a lot of first picked premiums, it's the worst of the bye rounds IMO.
