A disappointing start by what on paper appears to be the strongest Hogg league of all time as the Champions League was owned Hawthorn style by Hogg Premier League. Hogg Division I is also falling behind the pace nearly four hundred spots lower than Hogg Division II and as expected the new coaches have made Division IV a competitive league that is currently outranking Hogg Divsion III. Division VI is also keeping the 'punching above their weight' theme going by outranking Division V but the Piglet and the Bunny are stinking up the place.

Already the team rankings have an all too familiar look as Hogg powerhouse Harrynutts is already on top of the rankings after a blistering opening. Last years Premier League bridesmaid Q Before You has racked up a beauty as well and Poon Army has returned to the heights he hasn't know since his boom season of 2007. At the bottom of the heap the usual suspects Thiele and Strawb are propping up the rest but clearly MightyEags is on the supplments as his Eaglesu18s outscored eight teams in the opening round.

With 127 teams this is the largest Hogg field we've ever had but it does include Shane Crawford in there. It is every Hoggsters duty to put that muppet in his place.

Division I and Division III regained their honour by overtaking lower ranked leagues but Hogg Division V are really stinking up the place. They must all have Chris Newman in their team ACK. Hogg Premier leads the way for a second straight week so this shows that some of last year's big scorers have yet to hit their straps.

Premier League outfits are dominating the Hogg scoring so far with MILLERS, Squeaky and Q Man all in the top five. Long time Hogg coaches blink (Destiny's Uncles) and bazza1 have started the season off in fine style and CoverKing's mate Josh with is Bens Rolfsbergers have announced themselves early as the best new team in the Hogg.

I've double checked all of the numbers and yes, Harrynutts is not on top.

Honey Badgers have turned back the clock to 2011 with a humungous 2400+ score to top the rankings as did (my opponent this week grizzle gripe mutter mutter), reigning Hogg Premier champion Captain Who, who has now raced to number four on the charts. Blinky is firing up big time but was pipped at the post by the Badgers and the MOSQUITOES are still about the place despite a poor showing in the first round. Bens Rolfsbergers remain the highest ranked Hogg newbie.

At the other end of the ladder Thiele's Crows are propping up the rest along with familiar mainstays the Mustands and EaglesU18sXVIII who faced off in their annual Bunny Bowl mockbuster. My uncle Pig and Joes GIANTS are other teams making a strong claim to Thiele's reverse premiership.

Interestingly, if we could form a league with our 18 best sides (using hindsight) we would have an average score per round of 2230, based on the coaches listed below.

That league would rank 6th in all leagues in the country.
