Round 3 - Teams, Trades & Discussion

Bubbles, bubbles, bubbles. There will be a trading frenzy this week.

Personally, I think it's best to stick with your chosen premiums that haven't started with a bang and instead use a trade or two to dump a rookie dud for a rookie gme you missed.

Lake was the most popular trade out last week. I think many will pull the trigger on Broughton this week...will he burn impatient coaches?

-----------------

Interesting to note that the top ranked SC teams contain a high number of mid-pricers and a low number of premium players. How long is this strategy good for? Can the likes of Dempsey, Hargrave, Dangerfield, Porps, Sam Reid etc maintain 90+PPG?

Is trading early impatience or strategy?

All depends on the coach! I will look at a couple of trades to take advantage of a couple of rookies I may have over looked and to add a few extra $$$ in to the kitty for a rainy day!

Before you trade, remember that a rookie averaging 50 will still be worth 300k in a few weeks!

But ditch your spud rookies that haven't got a guernsey yet, make sure your on Magner/Giles/Adam Kennedy/Clay Smith etc

Interested to see how many get on the Broughton>Dempsey trade....

Pending team selections I'll be ditching Pfeiffer for Milera or Kennedy. Am leaning towards Milera as I already have a load of GWS rookies in my team...

DT: Clay Smith and Adam Kennedy in, Will Hoskin Elliott and some other craptruck I forgot about are gone.

They mightn't stay, but I want to cash in.

Proud to say that I am the coach of Blighty Teasdale - currently ranked 1. I have all the above except Dangerfield.

That. Is. Awesome.

An SAFooty first?

I read a critique of your team that suggested because you've only started with 9 premium players that if not all your mid-pricers became keepers then you would require more trades to upgrade all players to premiums and you would eventually fall behind those you went GnR and started with 13 or 14 premiums.

Be interesting to see if these mid-pricers will be among the top scorers by seasons end. Good luck!

Wow, well done Mac!

I noticed the team name and colours when I checked the number 1 team last night. Great to know it was in fact your team.

Any team named for Blighty has to be Gunnage. Well done Mac, glad I'm not playing you in the Hogg!

Will Giles outscore Redden this week?

Giles v Cox/Nic Nat. Brogan expected to play.

Redden v Mumford?/Seaby. Big question mark on Mumford.

If Renouf plays for Port that decreases Reddens scoring too.
