Round 5 - Teams, Trades & Discussion

The biggest news confronting SCers and DTers this week is the news that Michael Coad has torn the hamstring of his bone and will miss at least 3 months. He didn't even get a chance to moo
Also, a few would have Chris Dawes and with forward options thin this week because of the multi-bye, several could face donuts.

3 months! Makes me glad I got it wrong and went with Toy. If it's that bad they might even put him on ice until next year. They'll be 0-18 by then with nothing to lose.

Spewing. One more match would have been nice.

Looks like a Coad -> Hibberd swap could be on the cards.

Hmmm...
Have just realised I've made a bit of a mistake with my rucks. I have Mumford and Cox, both of who have been providing plenty of points but both have byes this weekend. Gorringe on the bench can cover one of them but Hawthorns Bailey as my second reserve has not been playing. Am thinking of trading Mumford out for, say, Ryder or Ottens or even Hudson.

Just had a quick look at my team and have got good coverage for this bye again. Only risking 1 zero but I reckon Hibberd will be in for his first run after the 2 knee injuries the Dons suffered on the weekend.
Didn't have Coad either so dodged another bullet there.

I hope so as he is the only player I have that hasn't had a run yet.
Does anyone know how he has been going for Bendigo?

Quichey do you reckon Krakouer will hold his spot? I would have thought so but there's some noise in fantasy footy world that after a quiet game last week Malthouse will chop him which will be bad news for a lot of our teams.

I'm sweating on this week's selection table and tribunal.
I have plenty of cover in midfield and defence for the next two weeks.
My forward line is the worry, with Darling, Goodes, Tapscott, Sylvia and McGlynn all with the bye this weekend.
I have 4 MPPs in my forward line, all swapping to the midfield, but have no MPPs that can switch to my forward line in my midfield! Ack!
The beauty of this situation is I can bring in Prestia for either Savage or Simon Buckley.
Then trade out McGlynn for Higgins.
Then switch Sylvia with Prestia, bam, no donuts, and finances stay in order.
Now, if common sense prevails, Dawes will get off his striking charge tonight! Lol

Malthouse has stated that they will consider resting players in a rotational system due to the higher levels of fatigue brought about from the sub rule. I think Krakouer will be one of the first to be rested as he acclimatises himself once more with the rigours of AFL standard football. We have a bye in Round 7, so resting him this week could very well be on the cards, however, if Dawes loses his appeal and with Brad Dick still weeks away from a return, he may well find himself playing up until our first bye.

Looks like my team Suns Of A KHunt has been banished by the supercoach censors. Any idea how to change the name of your team ? they changed it to my first name followed by team, I would like to change it to something a bit more fun

Bugger!
I only picked up Coad last week.

I agree Quichey I think it will hinge on Dawes.

Should never have been cited in the first place and they were always going to appeal when it wouldn't attract a harsher penalty if the verdict was sustained.

Yeah, we'll all miss out on 55 points in a non league week. Over 250k coaches have this guy so it doesn't matter if he does miss. Krak is turning out to be a dud selection...Leon Davis the second. At least we didn't have to pay 500k for him.

I would say almost certain, especially with Suban injured.
