Okay dumb question number whatever...lol.
(And sorry if this has been covered somewhere else)

Dream Team / Super Coach...

What happens each week with the bye?

Do you just get 0 points if you have a player who is part of the bye?
Or is there some kind of 'average' score given to this particular player?

Not a silly question as most of us have already asked it

A player involved in the bye will register a 0 score, which makes your bench players important as they must play in order to substitute players around the byes.

HOWEVER......the good news mum being that rounds where 3 teams have the bye, this wont be classed as a round for match points. You are still scored for your overall points tally (if your playing to win the 50 grand overall prize) but wont affect your league games if half your team is missing due to the 3 team bye rounds.

Basically the aim i found is to make sure you have an even spread of players from each team, and to make sure your bench players are likely to play.

Hope this helps :D

Thankyou Valley07

That's what I was thinking - you'd need a much more even spread - if the 0 points was the case.

And I thought I struggled last year 8-[
It's going to be even harder this year...lol.

This may lower the scores all round?
Well not sure I can get much lower

Thanks again for the explanation O:)

The scores won't be lower because there are extra players on the bench. Players from the following clubs won't be affected by the byes

Melbourne
Sydney
Fremantle
Brisbane

as they have both of their byes during mutliple bye weeks when there are no league matches in fantasy football. So you have two options. Pick a solid bench that can provide cover or pick a large number of players from the above clubs.

Therefore the scores will be lower for some but not for others. If you keep your eye on your team you should be right ha ha. ;)

REB

Thanks for the handy hint/s
And I will definitely be keeping an eye on it this year O:)
It's the original team I pick that I'm most worried about !!

Ahh well - all in good fun.
