The Spud List of Shame

Postby OnSong » Wed Jul 28, 2010 2:06 pm

Given many of us only have 1 week of fantasy football action left this year with finals just around the corner, feel free to post the Fantasy Spuds who have let you or others down this year.

WARNING: There is a good chance posting a player's name in this thread one week will cause him to post a huge score the weekend following, just to p!ss you off even more.

Mitch Clark: Outshone by Luenberger. Lol.

Brendan Fevola: Your spuddy season stands out more than your ex's forehead.

Kurt Tippett: About as consistent as a Sunday morning dump.

Ryan O'Keefe: His golden hair is the same colour as a peeled spud.

Simon Prestigiacomo: Yes, I realise you do your job each week and your negating skills are incredible, but for fantasy footy players, you are a spud of the highest order.

Leigh Brown: Occasionally bobs up with a 100 or two, but on the whole, your are a genuine spud Leigh.

Jason Porplyzia: Horrible spuddy year. Hope you come back better next year because you have supplied us with more potato than Northern Ireland.

Justin Koschitzke: Long and narrow like a sweet potato.

Jason Gram: Injured most of the year and delivered some terrible scores. A yeasty year.

Andrew McQualter: Played every game this year but never cracked a DT tonne. Plop him into a plastic bag.

Alan Toovey: Still developing but can't see him getting out of the vegetable section.

Amon Buchanan: Struggling spud.

Joel Patful: Spud defender.

Mark Blake: (Shudders)

Cam Mooney: Had a reasonable start to the season but has since french-fried his average.

Brent Reilly: Spud tagger.

Andrew Carazzo: Going great guns before becoming spud tagger.

Brent Prismal: Rhymes with dismal.

Jay Neagle: Get out of the team.

Ed Lower: Who?

Leigh Harding: The singer of the same name is having a better year.

Chad Cornes: Played like a piece of corn.

Jason Davenport: Can’t get a game with the Power. Pfft.

Shannon Hurn: Is one of his own torpedos away from his best.

Mitchell Brown: Ack. Get out of my team you spud.

Aaron Joseph: Another spud tagger from the Blues.

Matthew de Boer: Only his second year but still down spud lane.

To be continued...feel free to add your own/dispute mine.

Yes these two hurt more than the rest named. Some of On Songs list comes from Captain Obvious' cookbook with the exception of Harding and Gram who have done well in previous seasons. Higgins in particular has been a disappointment because at least Tippett has had a few good games.

My nominations for this year include ROK and Shannon Hurn. Both guns when I didn't have them and pretty shithouse for when I do have them.

ROK has killed me this year, brought him in for St Nick and its been a nightmare apart from the odd game or 2.

Adam Goodes for most of the year has been hopeless but since being shifted to the midfield has produced some fine scores...

Harsh. Enright produced some solid scoring earlier on in the year but is struggling recently as he is being tagged and is in need of a rest, which I believe will happen this week. He'll return to form when he gets back into the side.

IMO that is one you could see coming. I was never keen on Clark this year. Let's see if we can all spot the 'Clark of 2011' next February. Hint - They are currently enjoying a career best year this season and have yet to become regular proven point scorers.

My biggest flaw this season was picking Mitch Clark ahead of big Sandi, i think they were both around the same price, Mitch might of even been more. I've lost 40 pts a week on this piece of ..... spud!

2019 AFL Premiers: Richmond 17.12.114 def Greater Western Sydney 3.7.25

The suggestion was spudeque. No one has actually called Enright a spud, but the last couple of weeks have certainly been 'spudesque'.

He will never be on the list of shame.

This might surprise a few, but Natinui has been in my side all year (because of dollars, my bench rucks were never a hope in hell of getting a run), and I can't recall him, even though he's played a number of good games, and done some exceptional things, ever having scored well.

"Truck" Rutten hasn't had a shocking year either, but I can't recall a DT score of over 70.

I picked Clark too

Still got him - never felt he was worth the trade but recently his scores are getting worse and worse

My worse starting pick was Robbie Gray. Should never have held on to him once the injury worry became public. He has played only 6 games all year and only scored decently twice. I eventually traded him in round 10.

He and Clark have really messed my team around this year.
