Round 15 Trades & Discussion

Postby Q. » Thu Jul 08, 2010 6:00 pm

Barlow and Ziebell gone for 2010.

Hurn still missing.

Mitchell out.

Davis dropped (laugh REB, laugh because he is also in my team).

Those that got on Jesse O'Brien early will be disappointed he's been dropped. Maybe don't make the same mistake on Robbie Tarrant.

Looks like Webberly and Howlett are good for a guernsey this week. Young Jordan Roughead could get another chance with Minson out of the team thanks to a bung ankle.

And, I can't believe I missed it, Rooey is baaaack...

Will wait until tomorrow to finalise, but I reckon I'll go with Pavlich/Dangerfield as replacements for Barlow/Ziebell. Both are due to spend a fair bit of time in the middle for the rest of the season and both have MPP status. Hopefully Dangerfield can stop running into inanimate objects and injuring himself.

I went Barlow - Hayes. Makes me a bit of money and allows a little more cash to upgrade Armstrong in the midfield later.

i went Barlow to Boyd and Hurn to H.Shaw. Hurn may only be another week out but already have Ladson out and one to cover him. So dont wont to risk a donut and really cant afford to in my current position.

Just in case you had hopes of Relton Roberts returning:

Another Tiger whose season appears to be over is recruit Relton Roberts, who has returned to the Northern Territory for an indefinite period.

Roberts debuted for Richmond in round one, was suspended by the club for round two after embarking on a late-night drinking session and played again in round three before he was dropped to the VFL.

Hardwick said the 24-year-old had struggled to cope with life in Melbourne and the discipline required at AFL level.

“Relton’s got a young family back in the NT and he has just got to make up his mind whether the AFL is for him. He can play the game, there’s no doubt but he’s got to adhere to our behaviours and standards our playing group has set,” he said.

“He’s found it very hard - the adjustment period has been very tough, especially with his young son Darren back in the NT. We’ll give him some time and a decision will be made in the not too distant future.”

Super Coach - Barlow out - Judd in

Dream Team - Raines, Playfair out - Goodes, Strijk in
Will wait until next week to trade Barlow. Had too big a hole in forward line that needed fixing first. Still got $85k and just brought in Dusty Martin from the bench to cover for Barlow.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Can someone confirm that Barlow wont drop in price this week, if I hold off the trade?

Pav has a BE of 144 so chances are his price will drop again so might try and hold off

his price won't drop.
I've kept Connors, Seaby, Ottens & many other players on my list long-term, & their price did not move (as long as they didn;t play)

Barlow's price dropped by 7K because his 86 didn't match his BE but yeah it won't drop anymore. I ended up bringing in the Pavlova for Barlow because I wanted his MPP status. I might switch him to my forward line later in the year and switch Neon to the mids and upgrade him for the finals.

There you go Q, I'm not laughing this time becuase I have Davis as well. Jack Watts will cover Neon this week and they are scoring about the same at the moment so no real loss. One trade made and my Hogg Premier opponent this week has Mitchell, Ziebell and Barlow and a really weak ruck division.

Barlow for Judd
Need to free up some cash to get Rooey back later for the finals, should take him a few weeks to get back into the swing. But my trade that replaced him Brown has dropped so much so might keep him and hope he does get better and trade in Big Bad Bustling Barry not reliable enough for Finals.
