Rookie Selections - before their price rises

I thought we could start a thread for those rookies who are yet to play three games, and have currently played one or two games or you think will get game time very soon.
This is mainly for those wanting to cash in on a player currently in your side. For example, Greg Broughton is the obvious rookie to get in your side before he plays this weekend, swap him with say Hill and then use the spare $300K to upgrade another player.
I did it with Skipworth earlier in the year, funnily enough the week before he got injured. Cashed him in for Beams (who had only played two games and was cheap) and used the spare cash to upgrade Hentschell.
Any other rookies to watch out for at this stage?

Not quite a rookie, but Grimes from Melbourne @ $188K (defender) has averaged 100 in his first 2 games this year
There's also Steele Sidebottom from Collingwood (Fwd/Mid) @ $122K who has played 2 games. I have considered him but not 100% sold.
I will be getting Broughton in this week for Suban to help build the spare cash to get Ablett back

Do your own research Q Man. I've got Broughton AND Grimes at the moment and picked up the Zac attack for 87k. Pretty happy with that one. Frontbum is a good fwd/mid option (Got to get rid of the spudinator Tuck).
On the flip side there are a few players who might have jumped the shark...I present to you
Higgins
Krak
Dal???

REB

Why start now, my entire SC decisions have been made for me by other people, it's why I'm doing reasonably okay
Another I was watching was Cale Hooker, but has played three games now.

I got Cockie from WCE for very little but he has also played 3 games now.
Cockie and Dawson both came from the rookie list so they were very very cheap.

Tom Swift couldn't be too far off a debut, playing well in the WAFL. Will be interesting to see how Liam Anthony goes after his recovery.

Was in the mix when Staker got injured. Really looking forward to seeing him play.

Swift is the guy I am waiting on as all I hear is good reports and it sounds like a lot of Fantasy coaches are planning to bring him in
As for REB's comment on Krak jumping the shark, I agree. So I am thinking of upgrading him this week to either ROK, Stevie J or (less likely) Porplyzia. It's tempting to hold and save the trade however all indications are that the bubble has burst and either his role has changed or opposition coaches are paying him more attention after his flying start. Moving him on while he's still at $400K seems a good plan.
Then in 1-2 weeks, all going well with price changes, I will let Kane Cornes go to get Ablett back. I just should never have picked him in the first place (should have gone Gibbs) and now this shoulder injury and last week's low score componds the mistake. Oh well, done now.
It's been a problem keeping Liam Anthony because it means I have been playing with only 7 midfielders all year. Please come back soon Liam !!!!!!!

managed to buy Beau Muston still for $86,600 he scored 120+ points last week, i think his price could rise dramatically if he plays well this round.

might be a bit premature lads his price won't go up until he has played 3 games so you could have waited to see what he does this weekend.
Huge history of injury and no real form line to speak of.

Liam Anthony is playing VFL this weekend .... sounds like he is a shoe-in once he's fit so watch for him after the break. Thank god for this as he's been on my bench all season.
Hayden Ballantyne is named as an emergency for Freo this weekend. One to watch for once he's started playing because there's good wraps on him.

Stay away. He's only an honest footballer on a list of guns that happens to have over a dozen players on the injury list.

A problem i think i am going to run into is finding a good rookie in the forward line. Have 3-4 forwards (Nahas, Walker, Krak, Ziebell) that have probably reached their limit and would like to trade to a rookie and then trade another to a Davis, Riewoldt etc. Unfortunately there dont appear to be many rookie forwards that look like they will get an extended run.
Think i will be hoping that Ballantyne from Freo lives up to expectations if he finally gets on the park..!!

Keep an eye on Ty Vickery. Unfortunately KPP-type rookies don't tend to rack up the points, but hopefully he'll do well enough to get regular games.
