Not sure whether to do a sideways trade, take a rookie and look to upgrade a defender or just hold of 2-3 weeks and wait until i have enough coin to get Sandilands in.

Get rid of him.

Thats what im thinking just cant find anyone im set on, was almost thinking swapping him for Stevie J, Geelong bit of a soft draw comin up could score well.

Martin is too good a player to persist averaging 75. I think it could be a waste of a trade while he is fit and playing. I have Chapman and Martin and am more concerned about Chapman. He doesn't look fit to me.

Id hold off for a few weeks, everyone was hitting the panic button on Broughton last week, I reakon he'll come good, if you still have him by round 13 trade him in richmonds bye week, hes not in my SC team but will look at bringing him in after they play geelong this week if the price is right :)

Decided to keep Chapman, Martin and Thomas and preserve the trade. I did make one trade, Wilson out for Treloar to cover for Goodes who is out with suspension. Normally I'd double trade and chase points but that approach has done me no good so far so I have elected to go the opposite way this time. Probably still lose LOL.

My theory on Martin is that he can make his coin back by the end of the year. He might score well against Geelong who are letting oppo midfielders run riot at the moment. If you have Foley or Cotchin you will do well this week. As for Thomas and Chapman both teams have had a tough draw to start the year (as has Martin) so I've had them during the tough times so perhaps Karma will reward me. Could have done without the Goodes train being derailed although Gingernuts does have Lake Harris.

Chapman will go OK once we play some easier teams. A switch to the Forward line would also help because he doesn't have the pace to go in the midfield anymore. If it's obvious to us, it's obvious to Scotty.

Chappy is averaging nearly ninety and has had one bad game! You should know by now Parky to keep the faith! We've got Richmond, Brisbane and Melbourne in the next three weeks and we've just had a boot up the bum at Ethiad courtesy of the Roos. If Chappy doesn't fire up we are all rooted and you can stick a fork in us cos we'll be done. We managed to beat the 'premiership favourite' with a bunch of kids just over a week ago so I don't think our run has finished just yet.

We could put the blue and white hoops on the West Sydney boys, and they'd beat Hawthorn...

Israel might even get four touches.

I should have clarified I have Chapman, Martin AND Pavlich. Only one ton (in SC) between the 3 of them in the first 3 weeks

It's my fault. In hindsight I should have started an extra premium in my midfield and let one of those expensive forwards go through to the keeper.

If there was obvious sideways trades for these players, then maybe it's worth burning one.

Not confident in any of the so-called premium forwards, apart from Buddy.

Martin is the type of player who will post a hat-trick of tons, although I wonder how much the other rising players in his team are stealing his points.

Hold on sideways trading your premiums unless you started without Franklin, Ablett or Goddard.

Yes, I have all of those 3 studs plus Pendles who did not perform like a stud last week.

I am going to hold all 3 unless rookie selections don't go my way. I kind of want a reason to get rid of one of them. There's just not strong, obvious alternatives from where I sit.

Pendles will be fine, last week was an unbelievably bad match for him given his quality.
Carlton are doing a number on good midfielders though -Pendles and before him Rockliff.
Won't surprise me if Watson is next.

The issue with Martin this week is you either decide to keep him for the long term or you get rid of this week. His set to have another large price drop so will become no trade value in the future.

Exactly the same issue with Fyfe either keep him for the long term or get rid of him this week. I am currently favouring offloading him. Although I stuck tough with him last year.
