Speaking of rucks, what's the story with the ruck rule changes? Can someone please explain these to me?

It makes Aaron Sandilands untouchable and underpriced at 600k if you don't mind. I believe that Carlton will play Kruezer up forward a fair bit so while overall he'll score you points he could also do what Petrie did and go missing during key matches. Petrie was a good get overall last year (a much cheaper option than Kruezer BTW) and scored well but when he spudded it up he spudded it up big time. I reckon the Sauce, Luenberger and McEvoy are all better options.

A bit pricey for mine. Having second thoughts about what I wrote about Kruezer too. He is a lot cheaper than ruckmen I mentioned earlier.

Surely, like Stephenson at Geelong, you simply don't recruit an older player, simply to not give them a game.

Nowadays the mature rookie is more to cover perceived weaknesses in a teams make up. Magner would be to cover a midfield injury.
With Spenser and Gawn both on the LTI they may elevate someone taller!
Someone like Williams or Sheahan would be on their watchlist but I am unsure on there status and form.

Marty Clarke's form isn't filling me with confidence. From a Collingwood perspective it seems Yagmoor would be ahead of him for a defensive sweeper role.

None of the gun ruckmen stand out for me at the moment, im thinking i might take in 4 cheap ruckmen in

-Giles
-Derixx
-Redden
-Stephensen

and use the money elsewhere on an extra premium in my midfield or forwards.

His about the only standout but even then a bit of doubt in my mind how much he will play on the ball especially if Nik Nat continues to improved rapidly.

West Coast being a serious premiership threat is also a bit of a worry lol. They need him come finals i think he will be the first bloke benched, subbed, rested when things are going well for them throughout games.

Going with Cox, Kreuzer, Stephenson, Giles. Quite happy with that foursome.

Is set for a massive season, I think 1 premium plus kruezer (underpriced premium when fit) will make up a large portion of ruck combo's.

Thoughts on big Ivan from Richmond?

By all reports going well in pre season & the tigs got him across for a reason so will def play every match.

If he can improve 20% on his outputs overtime with the crows I think is def worth a look.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Ivan will do better than he did at Adelaide I think, but I don't think he'll get into premium territory personally. His main problem was possessions around the ground, and while this will most likely improve at the Tigers I think there's better value out there.

What's the word on Hargrave & Lake?? Both previous high scorers at bargain basement prices, but with reasonable injury concerns. Haven't heard much about either over the pre-season....
