Hondo finds himself in the unusual position of propping up the Premier League table after the first round as his high price forward line continues to fail to flatter. Both teams need to trade to make something happen in this match and you get the impression that the wheels are pretty wobbly for the Hondominators YSCC at the moment. Both teams will improve but my spidey senses are telling me that the Poon Army can record an important victory.

I don't know if Poon traded but I managed to avoid all this week's problems bar Mumford who I held as I have Giles at R3. So I didn't trade at all and I look to have Poon covered hopefully helped by a Fyfe donut for him.

After the smoke cleared during the SuperCoach carnage that was this week it was Hawkeye and Hondo who were left standing amongst the ruins. Both managed to post scores of over 2200 points and Hawkeye now heads the table after his clinical demoltion of Woodys Dropkicks. Hondo managed to get off the bottom of the Premier League ladder and jump into the eight as he gave Poon Army a merciless flogging. Poon has asked me to stop tipping him and it seems a sensible suggestion as he is now the strongest team in the comp because he's holding up the rest on the ladder.

Once again the consistent Darksiders just keep on scoring despite a brave effort from CoverKing's Catchers combination. MILLERS and the Underdogs were both unders but the Mosquitoes were the lucky ones to grab the points. The Captain is still waiting for his first ever Premier League win as Dutchy remained unbeaten while Q managed to sneak over the line for the second straight win against the barton. Sqeakeroos and Corky also hit back hard after opening round losses with Corkys win over the struggling BlueGunners their first ever win in the Premier League. The pain continued for Gingernuts as I beat him yet again in the Premier League even though my side isn't setting any scoring records and I'd really like to kill Dustin Martin. Still, at least I'm not going as badly as Halem Hawks who despite winning last week haven't really fired a shot so far this season.

Hogg Premier Round 3 Preview

Confirmed donuts and captains have been factored into the figures.

Hawkeye (614/6) to defeat Halem Hawks (286/4)

In the Hawk derby wycbloods looks to be in a lot of trouble here but has Richmond's Steve Morris in as a backup for the injured Courtney Dempsey. Against some opponents this might be enough but Hawkeye is travelling too well. Captain Murphy recorded a solid 236 so Halem's loophole failed and its all up to Matty Boyd now.

racing thebarton (497/5) to defeat Squeakeroos DTC (378/4)

In something of an upset the barton look set to knock off Squeaky here as they have gained an advantage of 80 points in the captaincy loophole (Swan over Pendles). As usual Squeaky hasn't done much wrong but finny has done it a little bit better this week.

Dutchys Dodos (408/4) to defeat Woodys Dropkicks (473/4)

The numbers so far are with Woody but Dutchy has a bonus eighty points up his sleeve with Swan over Pendles as skipper. I think Dutchy can come from behind and win this one with Dane Swan sinking Woody the Collingwood fan.

Q Before You (425/4) to defeat The Cat Empire (182/2)

It''s a long way back for my boys from here as Q snuck away tonight. I think I'll get closer than the predictor says but just fall short. Far too many players missing from the Empire's forces to win this one and Q will remain unbeaten.

Captain Who? (529/5) to defeat Hondominators YSCC (477/5)

The Captain can open his account this week over a strangely inconsistent Hondo who will fall out of the eight if he loses this one. The Captain has an 80 point loophole bonus to add to his tally and it might prove too tough for Hondo to reel in with the same amount of resources remaining.

Darksiders SCE (353/3) to defeat Ginger Ninjas (381/4)

With a massive 140 point captain loophole advantage to come, the Darksiders look set to continue Gingernuts' misery this season after Ginge's Stanton gamble failed to pay dividends. Now he has delved into the trade bag and is looking at a zip-3 start to the year. Ginger Ninjas to be bottom after this week.

Poon Army (376/4) to defeat Underdogs (430/5)

Hammo won't thank me for making him favourite for the third straight week here but I reckon sharksta is in trouble. It will all come down to the captaincy face off (no loophole here) as Underdogs' Joel Selwood is up against the Poon's Mitchell. Poon Army has traded heavily this week to break his duck so he is in deep poo if he can't get over the line here.

Cork in the Ocean (391/4) to spifflicate Don't Drop Catches (260/5)

The Catchers' numbers looked very ordinary before factoring in the looming donut to The Big O (now you know why he's called that) and with even more players going down than my mob coach CoverKing is tearing his hair out. This match is going to end in pain...like the first Clubber v Rocky match. Guess who is Rocky?

MILLERS MOSQUITOES (565/5) to defeat BlueGunners (491/5)

While the Gunners are going better than many other teams this week it won't be enough for them to defeat the mighy Mozzies in this game. With a handy Captaincy loophole advantage of 140 up their sleeves, BlueGunners will have to wait another week to win their first match this season.

Oh well, there's always next week. :(

Yeah if Porps misses that's two donuts for me plus the captaincy loophole for you and bye bye for me. It is looking like I can win a minimum of three of my five league matches so not a bad effort with five (or six) out. I'm still right in the other two as well if Porps suits up which I bloody well hope he does. I've held off from trading this week and I'm getting a little bit of good Karma.

Now take some ******* Concrete Pills Porps and get out there!

No Porps, but JPK has set you up nicely. Franklin spudded it up for me, so this is going down to the wire.

It's MILLER time in Hogg Premier League after he went top of the table after his percentage booster against the struggling BlueGunners this week. The other unbeaten sides had to battle a little harder for thier points, particularly the Darkside who faced a strong challenge from a desperate Ginger Ninjas outfit.

Looking at the scores this week there were a couple of top teams decimated by the carnage that was round five and in Premier League that team was Dutchy as they dropped under 1800 and copped two heavy losses in Champions and Premier League. Racing thebarton managed to complete the upset win over Squeaky and they are well placed in 5th spot in the ladder.

Congrats to the Captain who racked up 2158 in a week that many couldn't to have a big win over Hondo who has yet to find his feet this season. Corky got a bit lucky with a narrow win over the Catchers who were one of the many teams that opened a bakery this week because of late withdrawals ACK. After three rounds everyone except Gingernuts and BlueGunners has won a game with BlueGunners looking to be in real strife and a long way short of the rest. MILLERS and Darksiders look to be the teams to beat so far but their is a fair way to go until this race is over.

If it makes you feel any better your opponent got the second highest score in Champions League this week and lost to MILLERS MOSQUITOES who got the best score. Now that is stiff.

You are off to a flyer but I have a sneaking suspicion that Pavlich is due.

Sidebottom is one of the smoky, shrewd picks of the season I reckon. He just racks up the stats effortlessly.

Of course I don't have him. Nice get there Q.
