So because my weekly ranking is ok (2000) I should be matched up against a low scoring team? Or is it on overall rank?

i reckon it is weekly ranking but not 100% on that

Yeah, I think this is the case. My weekly ranking was terrible (50,000) so I'm as good as gone this week. Lol.

Its based on your weekly 'eliminator ranking'.
So basically your weekly ranking just only with the people left in eliminator.
Top 50% are randomy drawn an opponent from the bottom 50% ranks.
