Watson or Duigan or Otten on the ground?

Montagna for Swan? Is that too backwards at this time of year, I think yes but severely tempted.

No offence but jeez I hope you're wrong. I am behind the count already - if libba ends up a sub then I'm sunk. I don't reckon Curnow is the bargain many think he is. If you have him already that's fine but remember he's played against a young albiet improving Tigers side and a very young Gold Coast side. You could be burning a sideways trade to bring in someone who scores 50. I'd be looking to bring in a cow that hasn't played these two sides.

Yep im undecided on either to play Libba or Heppell this week.

Libba if he plays a full game should score 100+ but is a massive chance of being the sub this week.

While Heppell wont score as big but is no chance to be the sub

I am steering clear of Curnow

Ideally I would have him (and I did right up to the last minute) but two 100s against Richmond and the GC don't mean he is the Barlow of 2011

I am dumping Everitt for Heppell most likely and maybe one more trade but not sure yet

Maybe there won't be a Barlow of 2011. There wasn't really a Barlow of 2009. I reckon you should keep Everitt though. ;)

Why do you think Libba is a 'massive chance of being the sub'? I reckon Brendan Stack and Brian Lake are the candidates myself. Even Hall could sub off again. Libba has been gunning it in the centre and with a bye coming up I can't see any real reason why they would sub him.

Just that the Bulldog midfield goes pretty deep and i think they will be wary of burning Libba out to early in the season. I think the sub rule suits coaches perfectly when it comes to game time for rookies who they see as being in the side all year.

Had to strengthen up my defence. Very weak.

Should have at least waited until the teams were confirmed this afternoon as word is Brian Lake will withdraw because he is still under an injury cloud.

That'll be right. No luck at all this year. Away from a computer today so had to make my changes last night.

The Bulldogs have the bye next week so playing Libba in the midfield against the Coast shouldn't 'burn him out', so I can't see where you're coming from on this one. Already Lake looks set to miss and if anyone is going to be nursed it is the older players in an area where they don't bat so deep, i.e. in key position forwards. In other words, perhaps Hall and Stack.

While I conceed it's possible that Libba may be the sub, I would suggest 'massive chance' is overstating it more than a bit. I'm backing he won't be the sub.

With all due bloods that aint bad luck but simply bad selection. Lake is a very expensive player and you are backing him to come in and dominate despite not having a decent pre-season. Also, they have the bye next week so unless Lake was cherry ripe he was never going to be risked. Even when he gets back on deck his price will drop.

So for all of your efforts you've copped a donut, burnt a trade and lost money.

Hang on....that IS bad luck! :(

If he can't get to the contest he won't get a kick. His overhead marking is carp.

Smith or Gorringe?

Was really impressed by Smith last week, but there is no need to trade him in just yet as he has only played one game and price won't go up until after R4.

Very happy I've got him, especially now Fraser has gone out. Reckon he might even go better this week.
