Chelsea FC may yet get his chance to see if he can live up to his lofty premiership prediction in Hogg Division V this year after his boys cleaned up Squids' Regards, REB combination. Meanwhile, Venomous Geckos showed that they are back in top form when they won the match of the round against Kiwi Krappers by an even 200 points. This result has meant that Adro's Assassins have finally broken into the top four after looking like a top four side all season.

Been scoring reasonably well since. Any injuries could hurt though.

There were upsets aplenty in the Division V finals with the leading contenders fluffing their lines on opening night. Squids can't post but I bet he is reading this and if he could post I'd be copping it as his Regards, REB thrashed a disappointing Straycat Strut outfit who were well beaten by a better side. In the other Qualifying final Callum's Venomous Geckos turned back the clock several months to when he was displaying his best form to thrash the Kiwi. These wins means that Regards REB and the Venomous Geckos have been promoted to Hogg Division IV next season.
The underdogs got up in both of the knockout matches with the fancied Adro's Assasins and Chelsea FC failing to get the job done. Congrats to wonder elephants and Baron Greenback for winning through to the second week of the finals when I wouldn't have backed them with Monopoly money this time last week. The wonder elephants are having their best season and if they can win their semi next week against Kiwi Krappers then they will be promoted to Hogg Division IV. Cow Pat Lotto got the drop on Adro who scored so well all season long only to stink up the joint in the finals.
Even though my boys were well beaten in week one I reckon the Strutties can hit back with a possible rematch against Regards to decide the flag. However, as we have seen in this comp, favouritism means bugger all.
regards,
REB

1st Preliminary Final 4 - Regards, REB vs. 6 - wonder elephants
Earlier in the season Squidly was a shattered man when he was defeated by the seemingly inferior wonder elephants. Since then Regards has hung about but the wonder elephants have grown in stature quite considerably. After seeing his rival Straycat Strut go down the gurgler in straight sets it would be quite galling for Squiddley if wonder elephants could record a second win over his team and thus prevent qualification for the Champions League next season. Regards has a few issues in the backline as most coaches do this weekend but look very solid in the midfield. In the Ruck Luenberger and Jacobs represent a double that could dominate or fail entirely. Ibbotson aside, the elephants look better in defence but the elephant midfield doesn't look anywhere near as strong as Regards. Elephants look slightly better up front and clearly better in the ruck but the points in this game come from midfielders. If Tom Mitchell doesn't play this week the wonder elephants are in a bit of bother. My tip - Regards, REB.
n9o Ibbotson or hartlett is gonna hurt have cover as long as lester isn't sub again ... agree with you reb reakon im pushing shit up hill but I did get the job done early in the season so lets see how we go !!!btw squiddsy says hi to all
2nd Preliminary Final 2 - Venomous Geckos vs. 8 - Cow Pat Lotto
Like wonder elephants, Cow Pat Lotto weren't supposed to go this deep into the finals but they have knocked off two pretty strong sides in Adro's Assasins and Straycat Strut to get here. The Venomous Geckos had perhaps the easiest final of the lot disposing of Kiwi Krappers who didn't fire a shot either in the major round. Having said that, the Geckos scored a mighty score in the first week in the finals and deserve to go in favourites against the Baron. The injury to Dyson Heppell is a blow to the Geckos and a potential donut looms if the Geckos are as tradeless as the Cow Pat. Apart from perhaps Jacobs in the Ruck though that is about the only weakness in the Venomous Geckos lineup. The Cow Pats got into this game because his army of unheralded Lions all fired. Can he expect the same powerhouse scoring from Docherty and Mayes? With no trades left Docherty has to play and I can't see these two blokes performing the same scoring as last week. Even if Callum cops a donut for Heppell, he can still get the job done here. My Tip - Venomous Geckos.
regards,
REB
