******* Broughton. Sucked in again by all the talk of him playing through the mids this year. Should've gone Birchall instead.

I was sucked in by Porplyzia. Was furious when I learnt he has never been a good point scorer.

It's a bit of a worry that he only managed 74 against GC, but if he can average 75-80 he'll be ready for an upgrade at about $400K during the bye period.

I wouldn't be too concerned, playing Geelong wouldn't be too easy.

His inability to tackle or get the hard ball nowadays is a concern.

Along with the fact that everytime the crows went in to the 50 they had A) enough time to have a shot and not need to hit up a forward and B) when they did need to hit up a forward Walker and Tippett were hot so all eyes were going straight to them.
Tippett and Walker will not do what they did yesterday for a long time and I still think that Porplyzia will average 60+ and be a great upgrade price after the bye round in round 11.

Porps will still be good value IMO. The Crows could afford to bomb it long to Tippett and Walker, that won't work every week. Porps is not a keeper, you just need him to stay on the park for six weeks. If he does that it's a win, if not, a failed risk. It would have been handy for my team if McIntosh had kicked the sealer against the Bombers, that stuff is SuperCoach gold.

It's a bigger worry if you have Judd who looked to be in the same boat against the Tiggers.

That's it. Porplyzia was never going to be a keeper. I think this week against the Bulldogs he will find a lot more of the ball and push his score closer to 100 and earn a bit more cash. At the end of the day he had enought of the ball to be above his BE and will going on Dream Team Gold he should go up quite a bit with 3 weeks above BE.

2126 with plenty on the bench.

Very happy, only a couple of question marks at this stage.

2182 with no donuts. Had Magner on the pine but he will be a straight swap for McDonald for his little holiday.

What was the deal with Magner's ankle injury?

IIRC Doc Larkin said his ankle injury wasn't serious, just got slightly twisted under the weight of an opposition player. I'd say he'll be good to go, but if not I can't see him missing more than a week.
