It was business as usual in the warren this week with most of the top sides winning and with the final eight starting to take shape with four to go. onegameatatimers are the only side currently out of the eight that have any chance to make the finals I reckon and they'll be duking it out with Heaters Hotshots for that last finals spot.

The Hairy Chequebook just keep rolling on and should go through this comp undefeated despite the best efforts of Sturt B and Pump up ze Jams with an honourable mention to an inform Mumma's Boys who scored a very solid 2202 points to almost double up on the hapless Strawbs. Booney (Powerfools) and Booney Junior (Ports Satrs) have recorded a couple of wins in recent weeks but the most improved Bunny must be BrenDamage who is scoring the best scores of their three year Hogg career. Brenny was dead stiff to get rolled by the jamtins despite scoring a very good score on the weekend.

As far as promotion goes it looks like the top three are home free but despite the scoring table BIG BUNNY will play Piglet next year thus paving the way for Mumma's Boys to earn a promotion seeing as Scratchy and onegameatatimers are already in the higher grade. Go A Mum!

It's business as usual for the Bunny Bowlers with the usual suspects picking up the points in the Round 12 matches. I might have to send out the invites to the bottom sixteen coaches for the Bunny Bowl first so we don't get a top coach like the Hairy Chequebook having an utterly boring season. The only way is up for the Chequebook, the jam tins and Strutties B.

Moe has gotten himself into the top eight at the expense of Heater who has been caught out not scoring enough points. You might need as many as nine or ten wins to make the finals in this league seeing as it is so lopsided.

Business as usual in the Warren although Strut B lost a bit of ground when they went down in a close one to pump up ze jams. It seems though as we have a new contender for this particular premiership because Mumma's Boys could be the smokey who challenges Hairy Chequebook next month.

On last week's scores A Mum salutes and if the ladder remains the way it does those two will be facing off in the first week of the finals. The Chequebook might very well have a Hairy finals series after all. The top eight is almost settled here with only Heater's Hotshots keeping the pressure on eighth ranked BrenDamage who should hold on.

That 2 point loss to Mamma's boys earlier in the season is really starting to make a difference now.

Sorry about that Moe 8-[

Well after last years dismall performance I thought I'd better put in an effort this year - and with these words of wisdom you were right REB - something along the lines of "Tend to that team on a weekly basis and you'll be surprised!!" :D

I'm also currently sitting second in the Dream Team I'm in (mostly family) - bragging rights are sooooo sweet in that one !!

There was movement at the station for the word had got about that a new coach was on the rise and A Mum was up and about! That's right folks someone who we all thought might always be a Bunny is about to move up in the world as Mumma's Boys have climbed into the green zone which would entitle A Mum to be in Hogg Division V next season.

Meanwhile Moe has flogged BIG BUNNY and Ports Satrs has recorded another victory but the top eight is settled despite the improved scoring of Heaters Hotshots in recent weeks. Strawb will wrap up the coveted Bunny spoon and Hairy Chequebook will probably make the Bunny Final against either Pump up ze jams or Mumma's Boys who are starting to fire up at the business end of the season.

It's business as usual in the Warren with the top eight settled weeks ago. The last round saw a couple of the top teams face off against each other and the news wasn't good for Mumma's Boys and BIG BUNNY who were well short of the standard set by the top two sides. Pump up ze jams fired up for their best performance of the season and they'll be a more than competitive side in Division V next season and Hairy Chequebook has been a cut above the rest all year long and will welcome a more competitive league next year.

In the bottom half of the eight there hasn't been a lot to cheer about for the Booney household but Booney and Booney junior both finished the season with a win with Booney's Jnrs Ports Satrs finishing with a respectable six wins for the year. Congrats to my mate Brendan who has qualified for his first ever finals series and he plays none other than REB Jnr who likewise is playing in his first finals match.

Just remember that there are four weeks to go until the promotions are settled. Moe's onegameatatimers are already in the division above the bowl so they won't be promoted. BIG BUNNY will be playing in the Piglet Shield next season so that means the battle for the last promotion place is between Sturt B Team and Heater's Hotshots (Scratchy is actually Go Tiges from the higher division so they can't go up either). Sturt B leads by over 1500 points so Sturt B should be home.

Teams in Green will be promoted to Hogg Division V and the teams in white will be offered an invite to the Bunny next season.

Good luck to all finalists.

Bunny Bowl Preview Round 21

Welcome Bunnies to the prediction post for this week's round of finals action in the inaugural Bunny Bowl. There are quite a few truly horrible teams in this league so you needed to win 10 matches out of 15 to qualify for the finals such was the inability of the bottom eight teams to inflict upsets on the leaders.

One team that is well and truly streets ahead is Hairy Chequebook. The books should go on and win a premiership but the downside of that is that it is going to take them literally years to get into a decent Hogg league. Here are my predictions for the first week of the finals.

Qualifying Finals

1. Hairy Chequebook vs. 4. Mumma's Boys

As stated above the books have been flat track bullies at this level with very few teams even being able to make a contest. Mumma's Boys however are a much improved team over last season's effort so they'll show plenty of cheek here. A fortnight ago I had a bit of hope for Mumma's Boys being able to shock the league leaders but last week they were well and truly flogged by second ranked pump up ze jams so I've gone off the Mum's* this week and I reckon Hairy Chequebook will win this one and get the week off.

2. Pump up ze jams vs. 3. Sturt B Team

Never mind watching out for ze Germans Tommy watch out for ze jams! I reckon ze jams are the only team that can knock off the Hairy Chequebooks in this finals series...perhaps they have been conserving their energy so far this season ha ha. Sturt B managed to qualify for the top four after beating BIG BUNNY but the other teams in the top four are a cut above and I can't see the Strutties winning this one. Pump up ze jams will win this and put their feet up next week.

Elimination Finals

6. BIG BUNNY vs. 7. Scratchy

In this match Hogg rookie, 8 year old REB Jnr will be taking on Hogg veteran Scratchy (also coach of Go Tiges in Divvy VI) in what is the first final for both coaches. For most of the year BIG BUNNY hasn't worried too much about their team but now that he knows he is going in the Piglet next year he is starting to ask for advice and assistance with his team. Seeing as Leisa's Lovelies is going a bit better than my REBCats I reckon Mum can handle this one. The BUNNY has a healthy trade balance that I reckon Scratchy Stewie does not have so I think BIG BUNNY can sneak home and win his first final.

5. onegameatatimers vs. 8. BrenDamage

I reckon Moe can do a bit of damage in this finals series. The onegameatatimers have been racking up some pretty good scores in recent weeks while BrenDamage has merely been doing just enough to win the games he should be winning. Moe overtook the BUNNY in the closing stages of the season and he's earnt himself the right to have a crack at the weakest team in the finals. Moe will be celebrating hard in the tavern on Sunday night because I reckon that onegameatatimers will defeat BrenDamage.

So in other words, two teams will be 10-6 and out of action after this week! OUCH. Go the warren.

FINALS RESULTS

Qualifying Finals

Hairy Chequebook 2616 d. Mumma's Boys 2218
Pump up ze jams 2437 d. Sturt B Team 2033

Elimination Finals

onegameatatimers 2211 d. BrenDamage 1632
BIG BUNNY 2284 d. Scratchy 1985

Hairy Chequebook taking the piss here with a massive score to sink Mumma's Boys who played like it during the second half after leading early. Pump up ze jams made Struttie Bs look second rate while Moe and the BIG BUNNY easily won their Elimination finals with Brendan not showing up for his final.

I'm tempted to start up a new thread topic - "Have Sturt B Team imploded?"

No matter what I've done with my squad over the past 6 weeks - it has failed...

SEMI FINALS RESULTS

Mumma's Boys 2207 d. onegameatatimers 2026
BIG BUNNY 1977 d. Sturt B Team 1942

Apologies Bunnies for a lack of a preview last week tres busy I was last week young Jedi. Mumma's Boys would have gone in slight favourites against Moe's onegameatatimers and so it proved in the end with the Mums having a comfortable victory, their first finals win in Hogg history. Moe's mob is out of business despite a strong finish to the season while Mumma's Boys face a tough preliminary final match up against Pump up ze jams. REB Jnr was a bit lucky to defeat an out of form Sturt B Team as he used one of his trades to bring in Leon Davis for Steve johnson. Of course it is history now that Davis missed the Lions game but the Strutties weren't going well enough to take advantage of the BIG BUNNY selection lapse. Sturt B ride off to the sunset now probably relieved that SuperCoach isn't going to be tormenting him for a few months. BIG BUNNY faces a huge challenge next week against the mighty Hairy Chequebook.
