Still a very strong team Hondo.

My likely line-up for this round:

B: Newman, Broughton, Gilbee
HB: Hurn, Mackie, Hodge
C: Bartel, Selwood, K Cornes
HF: S Johnson, Pavlich, J Brown
F: Rioli, Franklin, Didak
R: McIntosh, Judd, Goodes
I/C: S Hill, Rich, Kruezer, T Cloke

EMG: L Anthony, J Spencer

Just the one change, Riewoldt to the bench with Trav Cloke getting a gig this week (probably end up scoring 20, after scoring 100+ last week while he sat on the sidelines  ). No donuts as yet, my opponent has a few

Wouldn't have made any trades anyway with having the double chance

Yeah but if you lose you will end up having to play the winner of Squeaky and Darcy in the Prelim instead of the granny. That's a tricky situation up in Hogg Premier. If I get done I have to play Poon Army in the semi and if I get past him it will probably be Black Magic in the Prelim. Looking at all of the top eight sides they are the two teams I'd like to avoid so Rossy has given me a giant 5hitburger to eat.

And I guess with adding the week-off and being one game away from GF it could be more than enough incentive to burn some trades. I'm hoping many trades are burnt this week in Div 1

Rumour that Dal Santo and Sam Fisher will be out too. That will REALLY screw some fantasy teams over.

Yeah I just heard that on the radio :(

I've got my side and my opponents lined up and I reckon I can still cover the 2 donuts. I'll trade Gilbert - Hodge if I feel I need the points.

I just wish I knew more about how long Gilbert, Bock and Goddard will be out for. If any are > 2 weeks then I'd just trade. But I can't find anything concrete other than Gilbert was listed as "test" this week and Bock seems in doubt for next week. For Goddard I've only heard that rumour of 2-3 weeks. I don't want to trade if I don't have to this week only to find all 3 come up next week.

I should be safe so long as Fev & Buddy don't go AWOL on me this week and score 30 points each.

Somehow I've recorded a solid win despite opening up a donut shop. In DT meanwhile, I've got no donuts and been rolled in all three finals. Week off for the REBCats in Hogg Premier and Hogg II.

Quichey did you see that Ablett may be down to $600K by round 21? Could be a solid late upgrade for your last 2 finals. Much cheaper than you would have planned.

Yep, pretty high BE (although not impossible for him to get) and is still very cheap right now. Would be a bargain pickup and leave me with spare cash I hadn't planned on having. Got the week off and have four trades left which means I will probably use two of them next week.

Hogg Premier League Finals
League Ranking: 1803

Qualifying Finals - winner the week off, losers to play winners of Elimination Finals.

REBCats 1,849 d. the chardonnays 1,500
Black Magic SCE 1,736 d. GordonBlues 1,460

Elimination Finals - winners to play losers of Qualifying Finals. Losers out.

Poon Army 2,005 d. Mr Football 1,460
Buddy And The Boys 1,699 d. FOOTY LEDGENS 1,635

Relegation Matches - Losers relegated to Hogg Division I

Testaccio SPQR 1,954 d. It Hurts So Bad 1,745
Juddernaut 1,787 d. wonder elephants 1,547

Semi Finals - Losers Out

the chardonnays vs. Poon Army (Winner to play Black Magic SCE)
GordonBlues vs. Buddy and the Boys (Winner to play REBCats)

REBCats and Black Magic SCE have earnt themselves the week off after negoitating one of the toughest SuperCoach rounds that I have ever seen. It is safe to say that if you had no donuts in your side this week you are either a complete genius or have NFI. The donut situation proved terminal for FOOTYLEDGENS who lost out to Parko and Mr Football whose premiership defence was halted abruptly by Poon Army.

Testaccio SPQR and Juddernaut earnt the right to continue on in Hogg Premier which spells curtains for It Hurts So Bad and the wonder elephants who went from contenders to strugglers this season.

This weeks semis sees the face off between GordonBlues who have led the comp nearly all year up against Buddy and the Boys and the chardonnays are left to face a rampaging Poon Army who didn't look to be all that troubled by the donut situation last week. My prediction is that GordonBlues and Poon Army will advance to the Prelim finals.

REB

Ablett is injured and might get rested for a match towards the end of the year. Might even be this week as the Cats don't like to play half fit players and are very wary of ANZ Stadium's surface.

That's my concern. Not just because he hasn't been at his prolific best recently, but he would have to be getting a rest before finals. So I am then torn between picking him or going for someone like Montagna or Swan. I have a lot of time to mull over it though.
