This is a killer league. I can't think of any other Hogg Leagues where two teams in the relegation zone are racking up 2444-2301 scorelines. Second last Duromine Dependent had to pull out a huge score just to keep up with the relegation zone. Zampas are no duds and they are pretty unlucky to have just three wins and their days look numbered. Such is the tightness of this league I'd say 8th ranked Ginger Ninjas are even a chance of getting relegated!
Most of the in-form sides are going from strength to strength with the exception of ZedForce who got cleaned up by Chops Clots who themselves somehow have relegation worries. Other teams losing their grip a little include Ginger Ninjas who are one of the weakest scorers in the league, True North who are struggling for the first time in their Hogg career and Brodlach Bombers whose form has totally deserted them. Brodlach must be wondering where his next win is coming from seeing the frightening scoring coming from some of the bottom five this week.
Daisy got back in the winners circle and it was a good week for the Professor, Jims TigerRoos and the Strut again as Zed is dead baby. Well, not dead, but he certainly took a nap this week.

For the first time in a couple of weeks, a few Divvy II teams put in really stinky performances. Some teams even managed a win while doing so. This didn't apply to all though as plenty of teams did the expected and cracked 2300 for the week with Chops Clot leading the hit parade. I praised them to the skies and they dropped six in a row (so be thankful Dogmatic! ) but they are back in town in a big way and stalking the top eight. Speaking of Moneybrawl, I'd like to praise them this week but unfortunately they were burnt during the Summer of George who scored over 2300 as well.
Spare a thought for True North who copped 2322 from last placed ZampasHeadband which goes to show there are no easy games in this league, with the possible exception of Ginger Ninjas who were plucked by the hungry Roosters. Sounds painful. Zampas big win certainly puts the Cat amongst the pigeons as far as relegation goes with quite a few teams looking to scramble for victories to save their skin.
As far as the final eight goes. I'd say it's almost set except for the good form of Killer Wombats and Chops Clots keeping everyone on their toes. One of the early pacesetters Professor Crow finds themselves out of the top four for the first time in many weeks as somehow the flaky Straycat Strut has snuck in the back door.

The Summer of George have fired a warning shot across the bow of the competition with a massive 2511 to sink an impressive ZedForce by 200 points to open up the battle for fourth spot. The top of the table clash between Daisy and the TigerRoos turned into a bit of a fizzer as the TigerRoos played more like the Roos than the Tigers and his low score wasn't a match for a slightly off Daisy. A couple of top eight sides have lost that winning feeling in Professor Crow and Roosters while Such as Fyfe have certainly found that loving feeling and they will be a handful in the finals as well.
Outside the eight Killer Wombats, True North and Chops Clots kept their season alive while the Ginger Ninjas slowly slide down the ladder. Screwnicorns are suddenly scoring quite well and should avoid the drop while Moneybrawl are all at sea against a suddenly lucky Straycat Strut and will face a tough task trying to avoid the drop with ZampasHeadband suddenly going gangbusters in recent weeks. I'm liking Zampa to stay up while Moneybrawl sinks. The reality is that Ginger Ninjas should go down but with seven wins that looks unlikely.

Professor Crow has beaten DaisysDuds for the second time this season to be one win away from promotion to Division I with a impressive 2513 that left the early season leaders reeling. Jims TigerRoos and Straycat Strut stunk up the place by comparision with the TigerRoos claiming the Straycats' pelt for the second time this season to likewise earn the week off. In the knockout finals both winners were very impressive and the losers weren't disgraced either. ZedForce saw off the strong challenge of Fyfe by 47 points and the Summer of George had to pull out all the stops to salute over the Roosters. Both sides would be aggrieved at being eliminated when they glance at that TigerRoos score.
In the Semis this week put the house on Summer of George to defeat Straycat Strut as my Strutties are cooked. In the other semis it's D day for Daisy who has taken all before them this season. I can't believe that they will go out in straight sets but ZedForce certainly won't be a pushover. Daisy has been more consistent over the year so I reckon he squeezes by Zed and will live to fight another day.
