In: Curnow, Out: B. Harvey
In: Tapscott, Out: T. Walker

This will give me $572,500 free in the salary cap and am hoping the rookies can gather some cash over the next few rounds and then I can try and sort my team out come round 7 when the head to heads are back on.

Sheesh how much cash do you need? Curnow has played against the Tigers and the Suns yet you are prepared to sacrifice a premium in order to get him? Tapscott in fair enough but the Curnow-Harvey trade seems a waste to me, especially as you can't really vouch for Curnow's job security once he starts playing against the better sides. Perhaps the one trade would be better for this week.

Picking the sub is a real gamble - everyone thought Otten would be the sub in R1, but he wasn't.

Yeah if the Sub rule is here to stay for further seasons i think the Dream Team/Super Coach Creaters/Rule makers may need to think of something for players who are used as subs. Its a bit unfair and has a major impact on matches which is something we cant predict or have no real knowledge of.

Potentially i have Otten/Duigan (most likely sub this week)/Lower/Liberatore/Krakouer/Markovic/Richardson/Duncan who all may be used as subs at various stages.

As far as Duncan goes he is ahead of Menzel, Guthrie and Christensen in the pecking order and Scott has already shown that he is prepared to use veterans such as Milburn or any other underdone old timer (think Mooney here for this week maybe) so Duncan might be right. I also reckon it will be reasonably rare (Rhys Palmer aside) for a guy to be the sub or be subbed off in successive weeks.

I think!

Strongly considering the same trade myself.
Could look at Tapscott too, but not so sure on that one, and I don't have another rookie forward I'm happy to dump like I am with Conca.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

What is everyones opinion on Atley? Couple of sub par performances. How do you view his job security over the next 8 weeks. NM having a bye this week probably isn't the best thing for those considering trading him out.

An option could be to hold off until next week for Harris?

I reckon Atley will play every week like Bastinac last year. I know how much you love your Kangas, so back him in mate!!
I'll probably trade him out of my team Friday

He can play but who cares about Job security if he doesn't score points? You selected him as a cash cow, not a keeper so if he isn't earning this week is the perfect time to dump him for one who is.

While he is listed as a forward, I would reckon Cameron Richardson is a better cash cow at the Kangaroos.

Agreed. He's got the mature body and will get more games.

On SkySports news Brett Ratten hinted Nick Duigan would make the perfect sub for their upcoming match against Collingwood.

Why wouldn't you just have a premium from the start

I think Gaff might start getting good game time instead of being the sub and could post some good scores, couple that with the fact that not many would have him and he is therefore a very good point-of-difference. If he does start getting more game time it is of major advantage to you.

But what to do with the extra cash? Selwood will drop in price after his third game, maybe you could aim to pick him up by upgrading a Curnow or Liberatore in a couple of weeks.

Pick him up for Round 7, one of your midfield rookies should be mooing fairly loudly by then. Don't forget, no league games in Rounds 4, 5, 6. Perhaps only make the upgrade this week if you think you are still in the hunt to win the whole shebang.
