Interesting times for Boongas Bullies this week... The selection table is still tossing up a few decisions...

definite outs this week are B Smith and T Vickery

1) whether to give Fraser or Petrie the second ruck spot behind big Sandi, didn't plan Petrie's mpp status very well did i... oh well....

2)With Coad not making the side it leaves the last defensive position to either Duigan or Batchelor

3) the midfield has a full compliment this week so i've got two spots for either of Swallow (the GC version), Harris, Libba, Heppell and Conca

4) Darling, Matera or Richardson for the 7th forward spot?

i'm leaning towards...
1) Fraser
2) Duigan
3) Swallow and Liberatore
4) Darling

thoughts?
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

1) Fraser, will shoulder the ruck duties and Carlton rucks aren't premium players. Petrie faces the might of Collingwood, not many Roos will score highly.

2) Duigan, because he's playing against GCS and because Batchelor is named on the bench playing against a quality Saints side (could end up as a sub)

3) Very tough call, roll the dice on any of them. Heppell has been named as rover, I like his chances of a good score. Conca leave out, as Tigers are up against the Saints. I'd probably go with Heppel and one of Harris or Swallow.

4) Darling or Matera. Darling needs to step in the absence of LeCras, Matera will get a run through the middle.

I've replaced Liberatore with Swallow into my midfield and will have Harris as emergency just in case Selwood doesn't pull up. Or, do you think I should have Harris starting and Swallow emergency? what's your thoughts?
So you've seen everything have you?

I've got the same situation (except no Selwood). For me Swallow on, Libba emergency and Harris on pine. Still not 100% certain about Harris' back?? Libba may still find himself missing out this week for Mitch Wallis.

What the hell has happened to Lyndsey Gilbee??? No mention on injury lists, not named again, not even an emergency. Not sure I can afford to keep carrying $450K on the bench doing nothing.

It will be Djekerra who will miss for Wallis IMO. Libba was sensational in that first quarter last week and won plenty of hard ball and clearances. He was going so well that he had a minder in just his second quarter of AFL football. According to many Dogs fans Libba is well ahead of Wallis during this pre-season and I would be surprised if he was omitted after what was a pretty good debut last week. There were many experienced Dogs that played worse than Tom Liberatore.

Got the same situation as many others by the sound in deciding to go with Harris or Swallow?

Because of some very poor management by me i still have Josh Drummond in my side, keep or lay off?

The positive is all my bench players except for Isaac Smith are playing this week with Watson debuting for Carlton

Drummond is still 4 weeks away at the earliest. I'd trade him out after this weekend's matches.

No way! Why compound the initial mistake with another? Now that Pup has elected to select Drummond he might as well hang on to him so that he can get his dozen matches out of him before he inevitably breaks down later in the season. If Drummond can play 10-12 matches he can still be of some use to Mr Football. If you trade him out you've just burnt a trade. Umm....no...I wouldn't be trading him. After round 3 there are a couple of byes anyway. At the very worst Pup could be 1-2 and it's hardly season over from there.

Correct weight according to the other thread. Not all that happy that my !@#$%^&!! naming convention has been abandoned. After all that is what we all think when we get the bad news regarding our SC players. Harrrumph! [-(
