Made 2 mistakes that has probably cost me a finals berth, decided to get off the Didak wagon and dumped him as Captain (good move) and was left between Selwood and Black, thought Black would run amok againsst Freo, he didnt and Selwood did :( then as WYC said I decided to play Brad Ebert in front of Davenport, another bad move....has anyone ever had their emergency score 168?

Juddernaut vs Poon Army

Big scores were back in vogue this week in Hogg Premier and the list of coaches still in the hunt for Hogg Shield glory this year was reduced to nine with only DunKsKrew outside the top eight any chance of qualifying for the finals with two rounds to go. Mr Football, DunKsKrew and FOOTYEDGENS are in a three way battle for eighth spot and they all play each other over the last two rounds as well as having to play the REBCats. Hammo's Poon Army should qualify for the finals if they can defeat the lowly Juddernaut but if Troy drops that one he'll have to knock off top side GordonBlues to make the finals so a huge match for the Poon Army this week. In other news Buddy and the Boys were sensationally knocked out of the top four as at last The Ginger Ninjas displayed some belated form. Hawkeye exited stage left after failing to win against a for some reason dejected Mr Football and the chardonnays lost the 'REB family' road trip after losing to yours truly after getting done by REB Jnr last week. the chardonnays finish with two sides outside of the top eight so they should hang on to a top four spot as they scored strongly last week. There are two massive matches this week with Buddy and the Boys trying to get back into the top four against no lesser an opponent than the (overly) confident GordonBlues who is letting us know all about it in the Sike box at the moment. The battle for the eight kicks off in earnest with FOOTYLEDGENS playing off against Mr Football with the winner to be pretty safe and the loser to be looking over their shoulders with DunKsKrew hovering.

It's getting a bit tight on the fringes of the eight in Hogg Division I with the Manbaggers upsetting Q Before you and thus denying a victorious WYCBLOODS a spot in the top eight for another week. CoverKing knocked off the inform Supre Cil Dluohs and the luckless BensGorillas suffered yet another close loss to tumble to 10th spot on the ladder. This week Dutchys Dodos officially became extinct so its all over for Mr Hollands in this year's Hogg. This week the match of the round is between Q Before You and CoverKing with the slips queen not yet assured of finals action and with a tough couple of games to finish the minor round. It is also a tough run home for the Manbaggers who play Supre Cil Dluohs this week and LKIF in the last round. WYCBLOODS have a soft run home and should make the finals with The Fenders and Maria Sharapova to come.

Last week I said you can shut the door on the top eight of this league but this week FNQ Trotters have said PIG'S AR5E! The Trotters are back on the menu as Jacks Stars were unexpectedly rolled by Brendamage in Brennys best performance of the season. A couple of sides in the top four race also suffered defeats. Hollands Heros was no match for the mighty REBCats and the cobra's got rolled by Broderik's The Willies who have left their run a little to late. The Underdogs also got rolled on the weekend in what turned out to be a good set of results for Hondos Hard nuts who appear to have sealed a top four spot even though he fronts up against the cobra's this week. The FNQ Trotters must defeat the resurgent Brendamage and hope that Booneys Powerfools can knock off Jacks Stars.

Team for Round 17:

B: Newman, Gilbert, Gilbee
HB: Hurn, Mackie, Hodge
C: Bartel, Selwood, K Cornes
HF: Riewoldt, Pavlich, J Brown
F: Rioli, Didak, T Cloke
R: McIntosh, Judd, Goodes
I/C: Broughton, Rich, Cox, Walker

EMG: S Hill, L Anthony

BIG IN this week as rampaging Riewoldt replaces Giansiracusa who I had sitting on the sidelines until the time (and prices) were right. Still got a firm grip on Cox, but he will have to go next week, Jolly or Kruezer the likely candidates to come in. Also no guarantees that Walker will play, I don't think he will, meaning I'll carry two donuts into this game against the late charging Coverking who, incidentally, was thrown a pre-season lifeline by me. I noticed a very late withdrawal from the Hogg Division One and told Coverking to get onto REB quick to snaffle up this opening, so therefore, you owe me CK - make Adcock your captain ;)

I'm full strength for the first time in a long time .. even have 5 playing emergencies

B: Gilbert, Drummond, Goddard
HB: Newman, Bock, Mackie
C: Pendlebury, Swan, Selwood
HF: Deledio, J Brown, Pavlich
F: Fevola, Franklin, Harvey
R: McIntosh, Judd, Ablett (c)
Int: Broughton, Higgins, Kruezer, Kornes
Emerg: Anthony, Hurley, Sidebottom

Bring on those Cobras! He needs replacements for Kosi and Bradshaw. What a shame. ;)

EDIT: Cobra's didn't do a single trade! REB has he run out of trades or just banking them for finals?

He must be holding trades. There'd be 1 or 2 more guns in there if had burned all 20. No complacency here so I'll assume that's the case. Just surprised he didn't trade out Bradshaw. There's not much you can do with Kosi's 1 week suspension.

FOOTY LEDGENS vs dunKsKrew
Hawkeye vs the chardonnays
Boxheads Best vs It Hurts So Bad
Testaccio SPQR vs wonder elephants
The Ginger Ninjas vs Black Magic SCE
GordonBlues vs Poon Army
Juddernaut vs Buddy And The Boys

DunKsKrew is OUTTAHERE after getting rolled in round 14 with FOOTYLEDGENS knocking off the reigning premier to cement his spot. The top seven will all be playing finals with the only hope for Duncs being a big victory over the cub and a heavy loss for Mr Football against me in the last round. The top four looks settled as well with the chardonnays getting back on the winning list and the Poon Army not impressing anyone with a low scoring victory over Juddernaut. No major clashes this week except for the grand final replay of REBCats and Mr Football but I wouldn't be expecting too many ladder positions changing in the last round. There won't be too much trading action in Hogg Premier in Round 15 I suspect.

Round 15 Fixture

Leisa's Lovelies vs CoverKing
Q Before You vs BensGorillas
Supre Cil Dluohs vs smac
LKIF vs Manbaggers
Squeakeroos_DTF vs Dutchys Dodos
Mighty Crows vs Punk Roosters
WYCBLOODS vs Maria Sharapova
darcy DTF vs The Fenders

CoverKing is living on the edge after losing a high quality match against Q Before You last week and faces a tough battle to survive against Leisa's Lovelies this week. Manbaggers continued their late season run at the finals and moved ahead of CoverKing but faces the highly ranked LKIF in the last round in his must-win match. Just outside the top eight WYCBLOODS has a Taylor Walkover coming up against Maria Sharapova but is relying on other results falling his way to avoid a bad case of Richmonditis. The top four is set now that Leisa's Lovelies got rolled but all eyes will be on the battle between the Manbaggers, CoverKing and WYCBLOODS....there's only room for two of them.

Just need 3 things to happen----then finals
1- BIG Willie win
2- Cobras to demolish Jacks Stars
3- Buddy to knock over FNQ

Buddy's given up I reckon Brod, sorry. I played him 2 weeks ago and he's either given up or out of trades. Zeroes everywhere and obvious trade options not done.
