GordonBlues returned to the top of the ladder after a comprehensive victory over the chardonnays who suffered only their second loss for the season. There were a couple of upsets due to the amount of donuts that are suddenly popping up all over the place thanks to the efforts of Steve Johnson, Matthew Pavlich and Dean Cox. Some coaches were saved by the frankly freakish scoring abilities of Jack Grimes and Greg Broughton. Testaccio SPQR pulled off a massive upset when he cleaned up the reigning premier Mr Football who now finds himself caught up in the mid table crush. Despite some recent good form their appears to be no room at the Inn for the cub who's FOOTY LEDGENS cleaned up Black Magic SCE for the Magic's second straight loss. The two big games for this round is the match between the Magic and GordonBlues with the Magic needing to win to get back into top four calculations. FOOTYLEDGENS will be facing the chardonnays who have not been scoring all that highly in recent weeks.

The top sides of Division I continued on their winning ways. There's no upsets in this league folks unlike Hogg Premier. Much of the attention in this league will be as to who will fill out the last two places in the final eight. Teams that are about the place include Bens Gorillas, Dutchys Dodos, Manbaggers and the fading CoverKing. The Fenders have now dropped six straight matches after winning the first five and WYCBLOODS is hanging on for dear life. I reckon Dutchys Dodos will be extinct after coming up against the rampant Darcy while the WYCBLOODS will live to fight another day by cleaning up the Punk Roosters. CoverKing looks to be in trouble against 3rd ranked LKIF and Manbaggers might come up short against Leisa's Lovelies. Bens Gorillas also has a tough assignment against Supre Cil Dlouhs so for the WYCBLOODS, this week represents an opportunity to put some pressure on the sides immediately above.

Leisa's Lovelies defended her top spot in the Hogg Divisioin II when she accounted for Hondos Hard Nuts last round. Hondo would be pretty grateful that I don't have more kids...or wives at home as he hasn't recorded a victory against any of us yet. The cub finally cracked it for a top eight spot in a Hogg comp when he took his Nanna's spot after the FNQ Trotters were cleaned up by the mighty REBCats. Jacks Stars won the Ginger derby down at Victor and the cobra's racked up yet another impressive score on the weekend to be putting pressure on the top four in this league. The Powerfools and Brendamage teams have had a bit of a late rally but that was cruelly cut short on the weekend with both teams suffering unlucky close losses to more highly ranked sides. The big match this week is when FOOTYLEDGENS take on hollands heroes with the cub eyeing a big scalp to add to his growing collection.

It's been a bad run. Get me away from these REB-ites please!

It's forced me to plan future trades for finals around taking away the advantage on a particular Geelong player that is common to those **** teams and not in mine. No, it's not Ablett ...

Have to hope those teams are short on trades or I am not sure I can catch them up.

Yup

Every week I come up against a REB family team and there he is staring at me from the computer screen scoring 130-160 while I hold my breath on Fevola.

Fevola-Chappy (somehow) in week 1 of finals is the plan

I've thought about bringing him in but I think I have a misconception that he is injury prone.

Got smashed by the missus on the weekend, created a bloody monster there! On the upside though I posted my 3rd highest score for the year with Drummond, Cox & Pav all sitting on the bench. If the injuries come good the Ninjas might make a late charge....

Chapman is injury prone but he is fitter this year than he has been in years. He has still copped a couple of niggly ones but his hammies are sound touch wood. I hope Hondo doesn't sign Chappy up because as soon as he does PING.

Remember that 'those teams' or to be precis those ******* teams LOL won't eligible for Hogg Shield promotion. The teams for you to watch out for in terms of promotion are hollands heros and the cobra's.

Here is my team for this week (donuts highlighted in red):

B: Newman, Gilbert, Gilbee
HB: Hurn, Mackie, Hodge
C: Bartel, Selwood, K Cornes
HF: S Johnson, Pavlich, J Brown
F: Rioli, Didak, T Cloke
R: Cox, Judd, Goodes
I/C: Broughton, Rich, McIntosh, Walker

EMG: S Hill, Dangerfield

Traded in Liam Anthony, traded out Beams, made ~$200K. Have almost $400K in the kitty and my eyes are firmly set on trading in Ablett and Reiwoldt for a decent crack at finals. 7 Trades left.

Some big ins returning from injury for me this week, thank god ...

B: Drummond, Goddard, Gilbert
HB: Mackie, Bock, Newman
C: Kornes, Swan, Selwood
HF: Deledio, J Brown, Higgins
F: Fevola, Franklin, Harvey
R: Cox, Judd, Ablett
Int: Broughton, Anthony, Kruezer, M Brown
Emerg: Hurley
Inj: Pavlich, Hartlett
Magoos: Silvester, Sidebottom, Muston

I finally have 22 players and even have a playing emergency. I plan to get Pendlebury in next week to replace Hartlett who's out for another 4 weeks then I'll sit tight on my 5 remaining trades for finals hopefully.

Annoyed I brought in Silvester last week for Rance and now he's dropped for guess who ... Rance  Still, Rance wasn't a great scorer and with Hurley back Silvester becomes my 9th back. The cash will allow me to upgrade Hartlett.

Jesus - 1st time I had 22 on the park in ages

Oh well, I'll take the donut and save money on Pendlebury when he drops next week. That $40K could make the difference with a late trade

Bugger!!
