I reckon I can win with our teams as they stand but it's whether Coverking uses 2 of his 6 (that many?) trades this week. Then it's whether I trade this week or not. I really would like that week off next week when I have Bartel, Enright and Chapman missing. Do I go all out for the W and then see how the war of attrition looks in round 23 against whoever is still left standing? Or hope for some luck this week without trading and see if I need the trades next week?

Honestly, I am probably screwed all round because I also have Judd missing in round 23.

It doesn't look like either of us traded. Well, I know I didn't. CK, our teams are fairly different so its too hard to call. I need my Saints to have a big game tonight.

Our sides are very different mate. I put nick on the bench so need him to spud it up. I didn't trade as I got none left (haven't traded for 3 weeks now). Good luck mate but I think you'll win

I thought you said you had 6 trades left? It must have been someone else. I almost bluffed myself into trading then :)

I was going to bring in Deledio and Callinan for Bewick and Wallis but decided to hang off in the end.

How did Dal Santo score 100? He turned the ball over at least six times! Q Man has him as skipper so feeling a bit ripped off. Neither of us went Swan.

Swan has been my perma-captain since his return, but I stupidly put the captaincy on NDS at the last minute.

I'm spewing I didn't go swan as skipper!
I reckon I'm a touch ahead even though 400 points down. Not playing nick could be a match winner

I went Juddy mate. Watch out for another one his 'rare' down days. Happens every time he has to carry the REBCats on his back. He should be bloody used to that. Thanks for not making me chase an extra hundred points though Q!

I think you have me covered TBH

If Ablett gets his usual score as your C then I don't think I can keep up with you

Hodge really let me down today ... only 66

With only 9 points in my clash with Mr Football it comes down to Johnson & Priddis vs Chapman & Darling today. Quietly confident but anything could happen really.

Well done CoverKing! A pretty easy win for you in the end disappointingly for me. My team turned in a very average performance.

FINALS RESULTS

Qualifying Finals

Darksiders SCE 2455 d. Squeakeroos DTC 2453
Dusty Tunnels 2391 d. Hondominators YSCC 2314

Elimination Finals

REBCats 2320 d. Far Q 2246
The Ginger Ninjas 2365 d. Mr Football 2302

Relegation Finals

Boxhead United 2330 d. FOOTYLEDGENS 2170
Blue_Guns 2165 d. dunKsKrew 2148

What a final between Darksiders and Squeaky. I reckon these two sides will play off in the Grand Final despite Dustys impressive win over Hondo. Very happy to win a final this year but I don't reckon I can beat Squeaky. Gingernuts has also survived with an excellent win against Pup's Mr Football. Boxhead has turned out an absolute stunner to knock Cubby out of Premier league and Blue_Guns have come from behind to relegate Duncs.

Geez, Selwood and Thompson were massive let downs. Knew they needed to have big games to get the win and they didn't deliver today.

Disappointed to bow out so early, compounded by the fact I got out of another league by 1 point!!!

I thought I could wing it without trading. The SC analyser had me winning by 170 which lulled me into a false sense of security. When I looked at our teams i saw 4 non-premiums to CK's none and the analyser had predicted all these massive scores for some of my players. I realised it was going to be a close call. Then captain Pendles let me down, Fisher & Hodge were down and CK made the smart C choice in Ablett and the rest is history.

I will have to burn at least one trade this week. I was kind of forced into not trading because I have 3 Geelong players missing this week although maybe I should have pushed harder for the week off.

Anyway, onto Gingernuts in an elimination final!

SEMI FINALS PREVIEWS

4. Squeakeroos vs. 8. REBCats

The Squeakeroos were dead stiff to lose to the league leaders Darksiders SCE last week suffering a two point loss as the Darkside claimed yet another nailbiter in Hogg Premier this season. They'll start strong favourites against a REBCats combination that earnt a little bit of respectability back last week by claiming an upset win over 5th ranked Far Q last week. The Q man dropped the ball a bit with the captaincy last week so I'll be hoping that Squeaky pulls a similar clanger because man for man his team has far more scoring power than mine. In fact I reckon it there will be a rematch between Darksiders and Squeaky in the Grand Final this year so that means the end of the road for my mob. Squeakeroos will win this one and advance to the Preliminary Final.

2. Hondominators YSCC vs. 7. The Ginger Ninjas

Earlier in the year The Ginger Ninjas stunned Hondo with an upset victory at a time when Hondo was flying. In recent weeks Hondominators have been a bit up and down with their scoring but Hondo would admit that his side is not firing on all cylinders at the moment. Looking at the lineups I reckon that Ginge might trade here with an aim to improving that midfield for this match seeing as he has already entered uncharted territory as far as advancing through the finals series goes. Hondo doesn't have the same level of resources left and while covering Bartel is easily done the coverage for Enright is more problematic. I see both coaches trading this week in a match that is going to be a lot closer than the other final and I reckon that The Ginger Ninjas can repeat their easly season victory and roll Hondomominators YSCC and live to play another day.

Some interesting match ups this week in terms of who has what. For my REBCats players like Mumford and Black have proven to be more than handy with Black especially delivering the Goods after I picked him up cheap. Hey nice to get one right. Squeaky looks pretty strong all over and would be a worthy semi finalist so it would take more luck than I have ever had in SC finals for me to pinch that one. I'm just hoping he doesn't flog me by 300 like last time. Intersting match up in the other final in the ruck. Hondo has done well with McEvoy who has gone to be a genuine Premium ruckman vs. Ginge who has stood by his man Sandilands. Meanwhile Hondo will be hoping that Luke Hodge pulls his finger out.

A couple of interesting finals.....or at the very least one! Good luck boys.

I pulled a couple of trades to improve my team and I have it as strong as I can in the circumstances but I think Gingernuts will have me covered just. The captain choice this week for all of us is CRUCIAL!

Didn't trade any of the Geelong boys Hondo? Or you just foxing?

Yes, captaincy is a big one. Got some potential big scores with Ablett against Adelaide, and Boyd and Griffin against Port. :-k
