Cox or Ryder?!

Gibson - should improve on last year but no keeper. With so many rookie backs maybe you should think about investing in either a genuine keeper or cash cow. Good POD player though I'd say. (Point of Difference)

Batchelor - Disposes of the ball well and one of the rookies I was speaking of above.

Petterd - No way. Can't stay on the park.

Cox everyday of the week but this might be the last year you can say that. Cox will go close to Sandi this year for mine and Ryder tends to have the odd quite game and has a larger differential (at least until last year when Cox was injured) than the Eagles ruck. You'll also not be able to use Ryder in the Grand Final if you get that far as Essendon has the bye.

Good call on ESS having the bye last round

Just looked at this link and all I can say is buyer beware based on these pre-season stats. Pre-season games are quite different from the real thing in terms of Overall SuperCoach points provided per game as well as players participating during these games.

In the twenty twenty games players were racking up ridiculous numbers which makes these figures meaningless. Last year Nick Nat racked up a 175 game and lots of witless punters jumped on and he preceded to do...um...not a lot really and many players had a low scoring second ruck instead of a gun cash cow that those figures predicted.

The best info is in the AFL Prospectus and on Too Serious. Use your extensive critical thinking skills with this data grasshoper....and don't go in blind.

None taken mate but you'll have to beat me a few times in a row to get bragging rights. You are my Hogg Premier bitch. You might knock me off this year because the dud I want to beat is flaming Woggy. Can't believe that Hawkeye beats me every year. Reminds me of another set of teams somehow mutter mutter.

Should play but keep your eye on the media reports. Not the gun he was from a SC perspective that he was two years ago but if Gilbert goes up forward he might return similar numbers to back then. If you are really keen on him select him and make sure you have bench cover for round one because I believe he only has a mild concussion and not a serious injury.

True - to clarify, I don't think it's particularly useful for premiums and mid-pricers, but I do think it's assists in assessing what rookies to run with.

My team sucks. What about Hille?? I already have Cox. Clark was great in 09. I was hoping he might find some of that form this year. You never know.

With the rucks you want to set and forget.

For that reason I have gone with Sex on the Beach!
I will post my DT and SC teams for comment on Friday night after the second lockout. Happy with my SC at the moment but still tinkering with my DT.

Lake is injured, had knee/hip/shoulder surgery and has missed all the preseason games. He played his first intra-club match on Friday playing all 3 quarters. An assistant coach stated that his availibility for round one would depend on how the club decided to use the new substitute rule. I wouldn't have him in for round 1, but he is looking like a perfect upgrade target for later on.

Johnson seems a pretty good choice, averaging consistent 80's in preseason and last year and also having MPP status. But I am fairly new to this so don't read too much into what I say.
