I was relieved to get close to 2000 (1948) in the end as it was a disasterous first 5 games for me.

Well played REB I hope we get a rematch later on in the season!

Pup, Mackie is making me tear my hair out too. In my team he's now my 7th defender after Broughton.

So do I Hondo. I'll take a 300 point win in a final any day. ;)

I noticed that you cheeky bugger. I'm just glad I swung the axe and traded in Hodge and T Cloke (big risk), and that they both scored 100+. Phew.

Counting on Selwood to deliver the goods today. We both have ten players each still to play, gonna be a close one.

By my calculations Duncs you have just snuck into the top eight. FOOTYLEDGENS only just won over wonder elephants but Poon Army thrashed Boxheads Best who have slipped to 10th. Bottom six probably not in contention now.

Close. It came down to Gilbert vs Vickery in the last game, scraped through with a 88 point win. An inspired captaincy by Dutchy (Didak) vs a conservative choice by me (Selwood) almost stole the game.

Going in with 2 donuts the only chance I had was a freak game by Didak, got that but couldnt get the job done, got my best score for a while so happy with that and hoping I can still make the finals :D

Juddernaut vs It Hurts So Bad

It Hurts So Bad has pulled off the biggest upset in Hogg Shield history by knocking off the previously undefeated GordonBlues. Blue Boy was ranked 15th in Hogg Premier prior to his stunning coup and his great effort has handed the leadership of the Hogg back to SAFOOTY.net with our very own the chardonnays the new leader of the comp. dunKsKrew, on the back of some solid recent form has stormed into the top eight at the expense of Boxheads Best who got pumped by the Poon Army last week. The top ten sides look to be the only teams in contention with Hawkeye and The Ginger Ninjas looking like they are just making up the numbers this year after making the finals last season. This week Hogg Premier has it's very own St Kilda v Geelong fixture as the two runaway leaders, the chardonnays and GordonBlues face off for top spot and a bit of breathing space on the rest. All of a sudden things a looking a bit harder now for Gordy.

Supre Cil Dluohs vs Maria Sharapova
LKIF vs The Fenders
Squeakeroos_DTF vs CoverKing
Mighty Crows vs BensGorillas
WYCBLOODS vs smac
darcy DTF vs Manbaggers

Dutchys Dodos managed to give the highly ranked Q Before You one almighty scare before the Q Man fell over the line in one of the match ups of the round in Hogg Division I. Another side to record an important victory last week were Manbaggers who held of WYCBLOODS who are now looking increasingly shaky in the wrong half of the ladder. Darcy DTF and LKIF remain the leaders in Divvy I and look like going on with again next week as Manbaggers doesn't appear to have the cattle to knock off Darcy. This leaves the door open for Dutchy if he can defeat Leisa's Lovelies who have been racking up some wins against some of the league's easybeats in recent weeks. CoverKing also has a big game coming up against Squeakeroos_DTF. He must defeat the Squeaks or the top four will be out of reach. If CoverKing salutes that again leaves the door open for a late charge by Dutchys Dodos or Bens Gorillas who have gone off the boil in recent matches.

Leisa's Lovelies vs Hondo's Hard Nuts
The Ginger Ninjas vs Jacks Stars

Brendamage vs The Underdogs
Powerfools vs holland's heros
cobra's vs Bazbulldog

holland's heros became the second ladder leader in two weeks to bite the dust in Hogg Division II as he crashed to defeat against the cobra's who have struck again. Dale's sister Leisa's Lovelies said thanks very much and she now heads the family league with a 9-1 record after someone in our house finally cleaned up Mrs. Gingernuts' team Jacks Stars. The Willies were a bit stiff after losing to the REBCats but the Ablett factor cost Broderik dearly in this match. Brendamage and Powerfools earnt themselves a rare set of back to back victories but I would expect both sides to come crashing back to earth with a thud this week, especially Booney who goes up against holland's heros on the rebound. Nanna's not too happy after cub's FOOTYLEDGENS defeated the FNQ Trotters but despite some solid recent form the cub can't crack the top eight in either of the Hoggs he is in. Cubby won't find the going easy against The Willies either who have a good team despite the less than flattering win loss record. Like Hogg Premier, Divvy II has a St Kilda v Geelong fixture happening as Hondos Hard Nuts attempt to regain the league leadership when they take on Leisa's Lovelies. Another interesting clash is the Gingernuts derby where Jacks Stars will join the long list of teams that have beaten The Ginger Ninjas this season.
