I reckon you've lost the game though Duncs. Unlucky that Harvey got a good tag.

He bloody didn't get near it in the last. Just my luck he plays well under average when

As predicted in the preview post, CoverKing's Dusty Tunnels is the big winner in Hogg Premier League this week moving from 9th all the way into the top four after thrashing cellar dwellers Boxhead United by over 600 points. Darksiders now enjoy a two game buffer at the top of the table and they look a good thing to be the first team to win two Hogg Premier League titles after he won the comp in 2009.

From second all the way down to 12th it's an absolute log jam and this year's battle for top eight spots will be the toughest yet. One team that I reckon is going to finish the year really strongly is Squeakeroos DTC who notched up a top quality victory over Hondo who managed to score a respectable 2140 in defeat. The Q Man was top a few weeks ago but he's now racked up three Ls in a row and he's looking even more wobbly than my REBCats who only just fell over the line against a gallant dunKsKrew who put in a top effort this weeek.

The Poon Army recorded a significant victory over top eight rivals Ginger Ninjas this week and this match could well decide the finals fate of both teams. Hammos win has punted Gingernuts out of the eight and despite a favourable win loss record, the Ninjas are on the back footner when it comes to their percentage. Hawkeye has been circling in recent weeks and he looks set to make his move. Woggy has been nowhere near it this year but just as everyone is looking wobbly he is starting to put some wins together and his win over Mr Football keeps him right in it. Blue_Guns meanwhile copped a large defeat at the hands of the Darkside and could well miss the eight after being regular finalists in their Hogg career.

The chardy socialists have managed to record another fine win in what has been their best Hogg premier season and they are a bit unlucky to only have just the four wins this season. Woody got the drop on FOOTYLEDGENS but this year's model is well short on the scoring abilities Woody has shown in the last two seasons and he appears an outsider for the eight at this stage.

If Squeakaroos has trades up his sleeve he will be very tough to beat as he has very strong benches so a lot of potential cash cows as long as he can find enough downgrade targets.

I got closer than I thought I would with Bartel missing but Broughton and Pavlich scored 100 more between them than I hoped they would and that proved the difference.

As for me, Sandi looks to need trading and I feel my season is almost over 3 weeks away from finals. It's not over really but I just wanted a round with no more red crosses against my premiums and of course that didn't happen.

Sandi must be traded out. Rioli almost certainly has to go. Trades are flying out the window

Here we go.

Quichey, do you regret not getting rid of Mundy and Selwood earlier now? You have those two, Sandi and Rioli IIRC?

Traded Mundy out for Swan. Selwood is a keeper, should serve me well when he returns from his suspension.

Should have traded out Sandi, but banked on him making a full recovery and getting one up on those that pull the trigger on him initially. Didn't pay off in the end.

One thing in our favour (those that held on) is that most who traded Sandi straight up went for Bailey or Vardy and so locked Zac Smith into R2. If Smith slows down as most rookies do now we have a chance to trade Sandi to the next best premium ruck and get an advantage. One flaw in this theory is that it isn't obvious to me who that next best premium ruck is?

On Selwood - had I had a crystal ball I could have used the trade to bring in Isaac Smith as cover and held on. That in hindsight I think was the best move I could have done.

Is Sandi out for the year? If so he goes but if it is four weeks then I'm hanging on to him. I'm hanging on to Rioli too as Smith can cover for him while he recovers.

Reports vary REB. Some say 4 weeks, others say it could be season ending.

Apparently turf toe is a common injury in the NFL and it pretty much stuffs the player for the whole season and they only get back to normal the following year. I resisted the theory but now I feel there is enough evidence to suggest that Sandi is stuffed for the year. If you hold on in hope he could come back and do it again. That said, without a clear next best alternative it might be wise to hang off and see what happens for at least a week if you can cover the ruck donut this week.

I'm trading him. this situation reminds me of Cox in 2009. One difference is that Freo are a finals prospect this year and they need him.

I know someone who this week had Rioli, Watson, Sandilands and Didak. 4 red crosses!!

Another poor loss, Sandi, Rioli cost me plus the withdrawal of Mzungu, Harvey wasn't great either.

Petrie is white hot but he won't help you in week one of the finals. Jamar has a good run home but has only just come back from injury. Otto is in top form but the Cats rest him at the drop of a hat. Zac Smith might be the go but he could cop a rest week as well in the run home. Goldstein looking good but same story as Petrie above.

Kruezer has potential but he won't be there for the Prelim. Mummy not fit. Luenberger getting enough points? It's a real tough one for mine. I'll wait and see at least one week and cop the donut as I hope to squeeze by Woodys Dropkicks.

Reasonably good news on Cyril though my forward line will be good if he can get back.

Mumford, Jamar and Jolly would be solid options for league finals if they were playing

McEvoy seems a decent option to me. Kruezer may miss that late final but he may help you make it. By that stage of the season it can be a donut war so Petrie subbing for Kruezer may not lose you that final. It is a risk though.

I'm considering McEvoy. I'm also considering holding off for a week, but my dodgy percentage makes my situation a little more urgent.

Depends who you play as well. Also don't forget that Gardiner might be back soon.

The way McEvoy is going, I don't think Gardiner will be back even if fit.

Is Gardiner going to take McEvoy's spot and will they play both of them now we have the sub rule?
