LOL Yeah bigtime mate, just can't seem to get it right yet ... I'll grab Ablett in the next week or 2 though so that should help.

Oh, and welcome back by the way ;)

I'll have used max trades by next week, but Im not too fussed by that .. If you cover the emergencies reasonably and get your base onfield group right you don't need to use a lot in the early and middle rounds.

I traded Hentschel today. He was like buying a deck chair from cheap as chips. You hope it'll be a cheap long term investment but it snaps on you on your fifth camping trip. Lol.

Got 19 trades left.

I wish we could have got 5 trips (games) out of Hentschel! Nice analogy though! :D

Pretty glad I haven't got the chicken man, out indefinetly. Crows will probably put him straight back in after the AFL says they wont increase his punishment.... maybe

Well I took a punt on a few risky cheapies like Cousins,Rivers and Henschel ,filled my bench with rookies and declared I would ride it out and make no trades till the season proper started. Adios to those two along with Osbourne,Raines and Travis Tuck. A man short on the ground this week, only scored 1535,no one on the bench to come in. Will have to trade this week or go in short again. Don't want to use trades now but have no choice as injuries this week could mean multiple non starters the week after.
I had it all worked out but then................... :( :(

Yeah scored 1907 this week. Will have to get rid of Hentschel . That will be my 3rd trade used but will save the rest until i get a few more injuries which is bound to happen.
Will also bring Ziebell of the bench to replace Taylor Walker. I have moved into the top 18,000, not a bad start then but after this week will hopefully inside the top 15,000.

151st overall in Dream Team and yet to use a trade. Unfortunately Bock has hurt me (not physically fortunately) so will need to look at using a trade in my defence as i have raines (injured) and S.Hill (cack) on my bench.

Harvey has never been a good DT option but his SC scores are way down also and he's worth over 600k in that game. My team has enough problems already without paying top dollar for someone who doesn't get points.

I think the stats were to counteract this statement.

Not in reflection of SC at all, considering this is the Dream Team thread.

But point taken.

I know it's based around stats and efficiency etc, but how is SC scored compared to Dream Team which just uses weight of numbers?

Why does Harvey not score well in SC? Is he similar to Kane Cornes?

Could be one of many reasons: tendancy to handpass, frequent ineffective kicks/handballs, only takes a few marks - rarely contested marks, high clanger % on disposals etc. etc.

In SC, one clanger kick or handpass wipes out 2 x the points scored for an effective handpass or kick.

Couldnt care less about SC REB, hence my posts on this Dream Team 2009 blog, I'm just defending your suggestion that Harvey has never been a good DT option, which clearly is rubbish!

do players (that have played all 3 games) values change after this round. for example brent harveys value will surely drop and it might b a better idea to trade him now for a cheaper player that has surprised and whos value will go up like a higgins or skipworth. is that how it works value goes up and down based on there last three games or something?
