I'm considering switching Hall to Duncan

Personally i think im going to stick with Hall the bloke is capable of scoring 100+ scores and for his value thats priceless. While Duncan is going to be a gun and is playing well cant see him scoring much more than 70 a game due to the strenght of the Geelong side.

He could be a good cash cow though before the prices rise at end of round 3.

Not sure what REB thinks, but I reckon he may be dropped when Rooke or Varcoe return.

Stokes is another player to consider (pending legal matters) and others like Gamble, Pods and Simon Hogan might also threaten his spot. I wouldn't be dropping a regular like Hall for a guy who isn't scoring that much more than him anyway. Duncs only got 30 odd last week so really it's all about the money if you make that move.

I got rid of Tippett today he just isn't scoring heavily enough and it will enable me to use a cash cow to get a gun forward in a few weeks time.

Yep, that's one I'm considering. My forward line is my weakest link. I've got Walker, Tippett, and Hentschel. Tippett is worth $$$, so I'll give him next week and then reassess. I don't expect too much from the other two. An average of 70 or so would be adequate...

I'm gonna give the big Tip a couple more weeks. I reckon he'll come good once Adelaide start chalking up some wins.

I've also got Walker, and although quiet last week I think he'll have his average up around 70 once the Crows midfield sort out their yips and start supplying a bit better.

You've done the trade already?

Mate at least wait until the sides are selected! How would you feel if you traded in some dude who rolls his ankle at training? Late mail is the smart mail bloods!

Hang on to Tippett and kiss goodbye the cash. If you keep him now you've got to bite the bullet and keep him all year IMO. Anyone who costs over 400k and can't keep up with Gumbleton deserves a bullet. This next time week I'll have JB in my forward line. He'll earn me money...and points.

Yeah but if you hang on to Tippett his value will drop, even if he scores an 80 this week. That was probably the thinking there.

If you are prepared to go through the season with a player then his price fluctuations don't matter. If you think there's been some factor that's going to keep his scores lower all season then, yes, you've got to move him on.

I'm not convinced Tippett will be down like this all season. The Crows have a good run coming up and only need to stop playing so shizen as a team and then Tippett is a good thing for 3-4 goals per week I reckon.

I'm keeping the faith.

In fact, I'll probably keep the faith with Hall too. I wish I hadn't picked him to begin with though.

The guy to get in if you don't have him is Jono Brown. If you could move either Tippett or Hall on to Brown before prices change then I think that's worth it. For me though, I need a downgrade somewhere to be able to reach Brown. So that's 2 trades just to get Brown who, although he's scoring like a champion, is prone to low scoring games as well. I know because I had him all last year and when I really needed a huge score from him I'd get 60.

Already have JB in my forward line.

This week = 1 trade for Barlow + 1 trade for spud cleansing.

Tippett gets a reprieve as I reckon McPhee is currently beating him on the spudometer and deserves the chop first. Tippett is struggling in a losing side = room for improvement. McPhee is struggling in a side that is cruizing = just plain spudtastic.

Wouldnt trade Tippett or Hall, both will be good when the games slow down in the middle of the season, and when the crows start to get some system

They sound like the perfect trades to me. Bring in the gun rookie and clean out a spud.

I am struggling to categorise Tippett as a spud based on 2 games even though I am as frustrated with his scores as anybody.

The only way I can reach Tippett-Brown is if I punt in Seaby in ruck and downgrade Clark. Again, I'm possibly jumping the gun on Clark too.

Might be better to be the ice-man, back my starting team and put the trade button away this week.

Brown isn't getting double teamed this year because Fev gives them another option. Bradshaw is a fine player but doesn't provide that alternative in terms of strength that Fev does. For this reason I reckon Browny's '60' weeks will happen a lot less often this season.

I'm going to wait until the inevitable 30-40 game (or two) before I jump on Brown. The way I see it, to get him I'd have to trade out a premium/keeper, or cash in a rookie before any price rise, both of which would be pretty stupid options.

Does anyone know what is the situation with Higgins I heard he may have done another hammy but from an unreliable (competitor) source. I did not see any footy on the weekend so would be keen to hear from someone that watched the game.

They said on the weekend that it was a knock to the calf, haven't heard an update from that yet.

After much contemplation I have decided to retain both players. I got a good score in week one and a competitive score in week two. What has cost me badly in previous seasons is that I've opened up bakeries on Grand Final day.

This year I have decided against my trade burning ways and I'm going to stick with my original squad. I'll get the 'trade-itis' out of my system with the Strutties but in Hogg Premier I'm keeping the power dry at this stage.

Yeah i've got them both, and am keeping them, but i've got a whole heap of other duds i need to move along.
I brought Betts in for Kozzy and that failed after Betts massive round 1 score.
This week Andy Walker out Barlow In.
Hurn to bench and Goose gets his first run of the year.
LeCras back from injury means i can shun Tex Walker to bench.
And i just will have to leave the rest and hope...
