Thoughts on Cam Wood? How long is Sandi out for? Thinking that Warnock is poo so Wood hopefully plays all year and can downgrade Dericx to Wood?

Gonna hold my other trade til next week of Suckling to Mitchell. Should leave me with 4 trades and $450k.

Sitting top in all 3 of my leagues so gonna use 2 upgrade trades the week of first finals in forward line (thinking Higgins and Shenton/C. Cameron), then gives me 2 spare for some carnage that is bound to happen.

Should have cover on every line, provided Sandi comes back and Wood continues to play. Mcdonald, Honeychurch, McGovern and Wood being my coverage players.

I thought about Wood but I can see Warnock coming back into the side. I went with Brown as a backup Ruck with better JS.

Hope you can hit the reverse button!

Its round 18, not 8.
Luey could play next Saturday. He wont take Martins spot, but he will affect his scoring.
You need bench cover for Sandi/Nic Nat
Im in the exact same boat. Looking at trading Currie to Ben Brown or Apeness.
Ben Brown looks to have cemented his spot for the season and Kangaroos look much better with him.
Apeness looks promising but the Ross Lyon factor is a red flag for me.

Currie to those blokes just feels like a wasted trade

My 2 biggest problems are no ruck cover and Wingard in my fwds. I'm thinking upgrade Ambrose to Martin. Bench Wingard and use him to cover/loophole fwd and mids. If a ruck doesn't play in the finals I've then got the option to bring in Thurlow and link with Martin or trade one of my rucks for a forward where there are potentially more options. I'd much rather bring in a Parker, Harvey, Gray type for Ambrose but I haven't got the cash.

Its a brilliant plan really............except for the part about needing Martin to keep averaging 105 (after already missing his $200k price rise)

So now what OCP? Wingard to Martin and Currie to Ben Brown for DPP?

Not sure......forgot to check my side so I'm stuck with Currie now. Effing McDonald's late out last week cost me league wins....this week he's on my pine and he's smashing it

Kangaroos seem to have more late changes than any other club!

Luckily I got home just in time to hear Ben Brown was out so squeezed through a last minute reversal and traded in Cam Wood instead :D

Yep, burnt one of my last trades and couldn't get on to reverse. Didn't realise I had the big C on Brown. Never so happy to cop a donut. Lucky this isn't a match I need to win to make the eight or anything! :(

Round 18 Pointless Peurile Predictive Pontifications

Postby grasshopper22 » Sat Jul 19, 2014 9:04 am

Good wk to bring in Kade Simpson :) 129 traded Andrew walker out and only decided last minute to go with Simpson after pressing reverse trades button several times this wk, also traded currie to thurlow so I could sub Martin into the ruck and take kerstans score up fwd. hopefully this is worthwhile.

The fallout has already begun in my family league. My bro in law is accusing me of tanking as I am playing the 9th ranked side (he's 8th). Not tanking, just a colossal cluster duck. Oh dear!

Speaking of tanking I reckon Duromine dependent maybe in Div 4 to keep The Willies in the top 4

Having a closer look I think Duromine Dependent has just made a huge mistake, I think he thought this split round of footy was actually two games of supercoach.
Surely no one can be that stupid though

Decided just to cop Sandi's donut rather than burn a trade thinking I can still sneak into the top 4 in Premier even if I drop this week. Looks like a smart decision given the dismal efforts of Goddard, Hibberd, Dahlhaus and Wingard so far. Wingard is really starting to hurt........

I have terrible bench cover. Doesn't look like changing anytime soon.

Having used two trades on the weekend, I feel I'm going to get burned by the second half of this round.

I did a trade yesterday to see how my side would look, intending to reverse it and lock it in on Friday.

No reversals! **** I hope Luke Parker doesn't pull a string at training.

Five points down against MILLERS MOSQUITOES. He has Captain Pendlebury against my Jacobs/Pendlebury combination. So if Sauce goes well with Pies then I can get away with opening a Bakery. :)

GO SAUCE!

I'm in a similar possie in div 1. I'm up against cowboys by 14pts, he has Pendles (C) and I have Pendles and B Smith. Not too confident though...
