Other than that, another trade won't fix my garbage side, will take 3-4 weeks of trading and an extra 500K.

In SC, no trades this week, keeping a close eye on Dempsey from Bombers. Very cheap, and good scorer.

Thinking after week 2, that if Dickson or Cameron dont improve, I'll sub Kennedy into the FWD line and replace either Dickson or Cameron with Clay Smith. Sounds like a waste of a trade, but must have the right rookies to maximise the profit!!

It is different to last year, I was down 6 trades after 3 weeks, and out by round 14

Not hitting the trade button in the Hogg and so have gotten it out of my system in DT. My defence is looking suspect so it was out for Yagmoor and McIntosh and in for Redden and Schofield who could be a nice POD player in the backline. There could be a few bargains in Eagle land this year. TEDS look better already and my Hogg side still has 24 trades remaining. Sweet.

Brisbane v Carlton teams show Longer and Rowe as emergencies watch this space for possible upgrade options early on for the aggressive trade strategy practiced by Impromtu last year.

REB I am looking at moving Shaw on for Adcock next week in DT!

You can have that move Alaska. Melbourne applied no defensive pressure at all and the Lions waltzed the ball out of half back. Meanwhile the Pies were undermanned in defence which forced Shaw into a more accountable role. I'm predicting that neither player will continue last week's scoring trends for very long.

Supercoach:
Steve Morris and Dylan Shiel go from the field to the pine, although both grab the big E as they will both be playing for sure.

Jack Hombsch and James Magner grace the field for the first time in 2012.

Pendles a lock to retain the captaincy.

DTeam:
Steve Morris and Nathan Wilson go from the field to the pine, Wilson grabbing an E.

Jack Hombsch and Darren Pfeiffer grace the field for the first time in 2012.

Gazz retains the C.

Interesting isn't it I see it differently. :?
Brisbane have moved Adcock to a more wing type role because of Hanley and Golby and so he will continue to rake up the stats. :D
Shaw isn't sitting in for anyone to come back, this will be his role this year. :(
AHH I hear you mention Maxwell.........I will let b you in on some news I received from a reliable source at a Fitzroy Hotel his ankle is more serious than it looks........ could play in two weeks ....could play in five weeks................... or may only play every other week!
The way I see it you need to get close to smell the liniment, to get that bit of extra information to inform the Hogg faithful, after all we want them to excel in the SuperCoach competition! :D

By the way I will be in this type of establishment all weekend amongst the games in Melbourne so will not be all that contactable. 8)

Who said anything about Maxwell. They have Taz and Brown out of that backline as well and the Pies will free up Shaw at every opportunity I feel. As for Adcock interesting call but not worth the trade for mine. There was still ZERO pressure on the ball carrier so even a change of role can't keep those numbers up. Been burnt by Adcock in the past.

Shaw also had Lewis forward tagging him for much of the second half and still rocked out 91. He will be among the top seven defensive scorers for the year (barring injury/suspension) and it's absolute madness to sideways trade him.

Mmmmm interesting....I thought Adcock was still playing back with Golby and Hanley was playing the role up the field. Hanley by the way, looks very tempting. Would be one not many coaches have, and is looking to further improve on his 85 average last year. Could be a good swap for Broughton, if he stays as a backman scoring 50 every week. (I dont have Broughton in SC....yet)

I have Parker in DT, but even though he probably will play, I am still considering trading him out. After a 55, he would need 2 big weeks to have a massive price change. While on the other hand, Magner, Clay Smith or Brad Ebert will have very small break evens by round 3 if they keep their form up, and appear as a bigger money maker in the long run.

I anticipate making 2 trades next week either way to capture a rookie/very good mid pricer I have missed, so dont want to restrict my potential trade next week by saving my Parker trade for next week.

Quick one with the loophole.

If I have Pfieffer as my Captain, and Juddy my vice:

If Pfeiffer doesn't play, I get Juddy's score, but after the partial lockout (if Juddy doesn't dominate) I could make Gazz skipper?

AND get the points for my fwd emergency?

No, captaincy on a Carlton or Bris player will lock it in.
Put it on a player not from Brissy or Carlton who won't play.
Give Judd VC etc etc
