Here is one for REB. Also, RB if you are going to waste a trade you may as well not pick Higgins and give me your trade now ;)

At $220 odd the Porps offers some good value. A tad risky with his shoulders but I reckon he might be worth the gamble at that price.

Two cat players worth a chance this year are Orren Stephenson and Jed Bews. With the clubs policy of playing one player under 50 games a week both will see some game time.

Stephenson is a lock.

But I would take a good look at Allen Christensen. Had a lot of sub affected scores last year and has the potential to be a keeper for finals. Similar to Fyfe last year.

I'm thinking these players will be worth while in SC:

John McCarthy - showed a lot of potential for Collingwood but struggled to break into a dominate midfield. Won't have this problem at Port. Richmond were apparently bitterly disappointed to lose out on him, so must've been offered some serious gametime by Primus to get him out of Vic.
Anthony Morabito - coming off injury, bargain basement price. Will be a cash cow.
Shannon Byrnes - struggled with injuries last year, but with Menzel out will get his chance. Shown what he can do previously.
Brad Dick - will get opportunity in a West Coast forward line that is heavily stacked with big bodied players (Kennedy, Lynch, Darling + Cox & Naitanui when drifting forward). With LeCras touted as being given a lot more midfield time, could be the perfect time for Dick to "slide" in...

Didnt make the roos NAB squad? Bit surprised actually, is he injured?

OK finally able to start thinking about this.
My first team includes Marty Clarke, Docherty, Hine and Smedts as backs.
Greene, D Smith, Sexton and young Mitchell as mids and Zorko, Lamb, Treloar and Kerridge as forwards.
Any views or knowledge on these youngsters?

I reckon a lot of teams are playing experienced blokes in these 'lightning premiership' rounds because of the reduced game time. I'd be expecting less of the Harveys et al when the second round starts.
