Congratulations to Darksiders SCE who has become the first coach to win two Hogg Premier League titles as he smashed my REBCats on the weekend. In the first division wycbloods wins the flag after Carazzo's fender bender just showing how tough it can be to win these darn things. In Division III Les's Men has done very well indeed to win the flag from eighth spot which just shows you how even the top sides were in that grade. In the monster that was Division IV Has Been has taken out the flag despite the Honey Badgers racking up 2462 which sums up the feats of that division this season.
The Underdogs went back to back in the Piglet Shield as they somehow had two trades left in the bank which is something I hadn't counted on. Looking at Gibbo's score though I don't reckon it would have mattered even if she did have a donut or two. The Greedy Guns won in emphatic style over the Wizard Sleeves who like Dutchy and myself, probably overachieved to get into the decider with no trades. Luck will only take you so far. In the Bunny Bowl everything went pair shaped for Hairy Chequebook with the Grand Final loss their only defeat for the season. OUCH.
Congratulations to all flag winners and that's the end of another Hogg Shield. Next year will be even bigger and better and that is thanks to you, the Hogg coaches. The promotion/relegation set up will be much better next year and with the introduction of the Champions League this will give top coaches stuck in the lower grades a chance to play against some of the other better performers.
