Ill probably sit on sandi as my ruck options of cox and smith aren't letting me down at the moment.

Im considering a downgrade of conca to howe from melbourne (unsure of his job security) and will upgrade matera to either sylvia (pending if he plays) or rioli.....this will be a last minute before lockout decision for me.

Did he? That's crucial news for me. This is not to doubt you at all but where did you hear this? I have some others to tell and they'll ask for a source because that changes things a fair bit.

I was resigning myself to his comeback being round 15 as per the latest injury list but then was worried that he would rest that game too as Freo have the bye the following week.

Freo losing will have him back sooner rather than later.
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Thanks Quichey. As said, that could be crucial news for those of us still holding onto him. If I find anything on it I'll post it on here.

No chance of playing this week IMO. I reckon he has a nick in the calf muscle and may even miss next week.

Hawks play Gold Coast in Round 13, so fair chance for an extended rest

Freo are getting desperate. On Fox news this morning it said that they are thinking of bringing back Barlow who has only played two quarters of waffle seconds!

Just a question regarding my rucks. All year I've had Cox/Sandi with Petrie/Smith my backups. I'm happy to ride the Sandi injury as he will be back well before finals start, and I have played Petrie instead. I have never used Smith on the field all season. Anyway, now that Petrie and Smith have increased significantly I am thinking of off loading one for an easy cash grab. Was thinking Petrie - Vardy as there is a lack of downgrade ruck options at the minute and Petrie's price is higher. Then play Smith on the ground to cover injuries and byes with possibly downgrading either him or Vardy come finals time if I need further cash.
Sound reasonable?

I started with the same ruck combo but have recently downgraded a forward to the cheapest forward/ruck option (Joel Tippet) then moved Petrie to my forwards and played Smith on the ground in the ruck. Both Smith and Petrie have been scoring very well and whilst Sandi is down it gives you better ruck coverage just incase one gets injured. When Sandi comes back I may look at of loading Smith to free up cash and still have cover in the ruck. Just a different way of looking at it if you have a forward scoring less than Petrie who you can downgrade.

Zac Smith has it all mate, he marks, gathers possessions, tackles and wins a fair few hit-outs, he also rests up forward, I'm more than happy keeping him, he's been getting around the ton for the past few matches.

I know, thats whats frustrating me, that I have 4 rucks that I would be happy to play but can only use 2 and there is no doubt in my mind that Cox/Sandi are the 2 first preferences. Just need to work out the best way to use that money/scoring on the bench.
Maybe Darling to Tippett is the way to go, put Cox/Smith on ground and use the big Peat up forward. Still thinking a straight swap of big Peat to Vardy though, with Smith as a backup, then 2 cash cows to cash in at finals if needed (Smith/Vardy). Will have to think hard about it cause next week could be too late.

 Its the only area of the ground that I have been happy about! Don't get me started on the backlines.

Dipsh!t me brought in Sylvia and pushed Gysberts on to the bench this week, lost my league game by 60 points and would've been sitting in the top 4 comfortably.
If I was you I'd nail it back to having 3 decent ruckmen, the Petrie/Tippett combo is pretty handy.
