Duigan has a B/E of 80. I want to get Deledio but Richmond have the bye. Do I just take the hit and get Deledio now or take the risk of Duigan not getting his B/E and upgrade a forward for either Franklin, Chappy or Fyfe?

Talk about a greedy gun! Duigan should score well against Port surely. Why trade in a guy to sit on your bench this week just to save a couple of grand. Who says Duigan can't score 80? The REBCats selectors will be backing the Norwood man to make 70 this week. Got Puopolo and Lower as well go Legs!

REB

Already got Lower REB, backed him and Duigs in from the start. Missed the ship on Puopolo.
Duigs playing Port was always in the back of my mind and should score ok.
Well who would your call be out of the 3 forwards I named?

Seriously, how slim are the pickings in defence??

Got some cash in the kitty ready for upgrades down back, but there is really no one putting their hand up with consistent scoring.

Agreed! Its a lottery back there. Scotland and Probably Heath Shaw are your best buys back there if you dont already have them. Im praying to the SC gods that Brian Lake finds his mojo in time for me to complete my next defence upgrade a bit later in the year.....

In 4 weeks time there will be 4 league matches left and 4 weeks for finals (I think) so if I have 10 trades left thats more than 1 a round to cover any injuries/form slumps.
You will still have 16 you say. So does that mean you will be making trades for the sake of it because you have them there? Would hate to lose come finals time and still have trades left?

I can say from experience that one trade a week is not enough in the finals. It's a good way to make Grand Finals, but not win them.

I think you need all 8 trades at finals time. Could be a case of trading out players who have the bye, then trading them back in the following week to make sure all premiums are playing.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Only had 7 SC rounds, so 8 more minor rounds to go (plus 2 more 3 team byes) and then another 4 weeks of finals, let me count that... um another 14 weeks of SCing to go...

Go ahead and trade you greedy man

I would agree REB but in the Hogg Shield its about overall points not finals wins.
I'm also not saying I will have limited trades come finals time ;)

I have Adcock, Goddard, Deledio, Enright, Gibbs and Fisher in the backline (Lower, Puopolo, Batchelor and Toy)

and Riewoldt, Riewoldt, Franklin, Pavlich, Goodes (Mzungu, Darling, Lynch and Richardson) in the forwards.

Mids are sorted, 6 premiums with Bewick, Hibberd and Smith on bench.

Rucks are Cox and Sandi, Smith and Bailey on bench.

Do I:

Complete my backline and bring in either Shaw or Scotland

Add another gun forward for Darling (Chappy will be very well priced shortly)

Or just sit for a few weeks?

You have accumulated that side and you are asking others what to do
Is it worthwhile moving on Sandilands as you have coverage and freeing up cash to potentially upgrade a forward and a defender?

At the moment I am happy with Smith, and when Sandi comes back, I will trade Smith out and upgrade elsewhere. Sorta what you were referring to.

Two defenders out for North Melbourne this week. Surely Cameron Pederson gets a crack now!!
1. M Hayden.

Got a couple of trades to do this week, clmost of my rookies have run their race by now...

OUT - Libba and Conca
IN - Mzungu and ???

I'm down to two options;

Ablett - no more byes

or

S Thompson - point of difference
both average decent numbers... Thoughts?
I'm leaning toward Ablett btw...

My current midfield is Pendles, Boyd, Judd, Selwood, D Swallow, Harris, Libba, Conca, Hibberd
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do
