If a Carlton or Richmond player is selected for Captain, Vice-Captain, or Emergency, that selection will remain locked. However, you may make changes to players from other teams on Friday before full lockout.

So effectively i can name Judd as my VC and if he scores 200 i can say give my captaincy to a GC player who will not be playing given Judd the total, but if he performs poorly i can give my captaincy to someone else on friday morning.

Or just leave judd as vice captain and never make anyone captain. Same effect and a little easier.

Other teams will be named tonight.
I believe it's only a lockout for Carlton & Richmond teams and you can alter your squad tomorrow when the other teams are released. Others can hopefully confirm this.

Thats the way I read it too mate, so for tonights game there is a partial lockout, then full lockout tomorrow evening as per normal.

I'd get something in now though A Mum if you can. SC always crashes the day before round 1!

I got burned badly a couple of years ago. A bit better now with the partial lockout but still, you can be rooted for the whole year if you bugger it up!

Brings back memories of the daunting Liam Anthony saga... finding out after lockout that he was going to miss half the season!!!

Yep GN O:)

Got my team all done and saved - but just want to make sure I don't have any/too many duds or 'donuts' as I think they're refered to. 8-[

'A Dad' was doing his Dream Team last night - after hours of concentration - got all the players in and pressed 'save' - then went to put his captain in and internet crashed  - this was literally a 3 second gap between save and picking captain - I rang BigPond and they said we were having 'unscheduled maintenance' in our area..... would hate to think what would have happened if he hadn't pressed that save button just seconds earlier
:axe:

Anyone else listing their Carlton/Richmond players as emergencies? (eg Duigan). Idea being leave them off the ground if they don't score well, but if they do, come Fridays partial lockout - trading the expected least scoring player you have on the field for a gold coast rookie who won't play, therefore having the Carlton/Richmond players score count? Bit hard to explain ...
