Do i need to pay for that advice, that was alot more thorough than i was expecting.

Cheers REB!

Yes looking back on paper, some trades were shocking, i tryed to work the system to make money and it worked me back.

Ok, i will sit tight for a few weeks, Brown to bench, Pod for a run, Gram for a run and either Martin or Hanneberry to bench, Krakeour in from bench and either Ladson or maybe even Dale Morris to bench as he is struggling.

Hopefully my scores pick up so Div VI can catch Div II !!

REB's advice was spot on. You are trying to fix things too quickly. Sideways trades will kill you. I allow maybe 1 or 2 max per year - 1 before round 3 and 1 if it's spare close to finals. Other than that, I stick with my players unless they get injured or there's an obvious problem a la Tippett this year.

If you burn trades trying to catch up now you may scramble to a par with your league but then fall away in the last 8 weeks when you've run out of trades. You'd be better off trying to win those late league games through having spare trades.

Dangerfield out for a month.

My bench of Pod will cover Browny if he goes down, but Hitchcock might struggle back into side.
Do i trade????

At this stage no, vossy has declared browny a certain starter for bris, so allow pods to cover for danger. Golden rule which i have taken on board, never trade until teams have been announced. Make your call on friday re danger.

that's one of my thoughts. considering Duncan is a FWD/MID that'd be very handy for me... however with Stokes and Varcoe to come back in i would suggest he would be lucky to get a gig later in the year, cue REB on this one...

Neither will get strings of matches IMO. Pods maybe but not Duncan. I reckon if you haven't got Duncan or Pods yet you've probably missed the boat and should look elsewhere.

ok so my dilemma is as follows. i want Judd and i've mentioned before the means of getting him.

i was thinking of possibly trading in a mid ranger FWD/MID for Brown, moving Higgins into the FWDS and instead of trading the mid ranger out to get Judd i could keep them and trade Jetta out... i'm starting to think this isn't the best option cos the few that are available don't look too promising, except for maybe Petterd... but there are no real rookies with MPP that are suitable atm..

Do you need Judd right now? Check out your draw and the strength of your opposition. Use Too Serious to evaluate break evens and future salaries before you make your decision...especially if you are using two trades to make it happen.

Thinking of swapping Tate Pears for Troy Chaplin. Was going to sit on it this week but Tate is a dead weight now for a couple of months, might as well just get rid of him and use the 70g's I have in the bank to do a bit of an upgrade. Chaplin has been very good in 3 of the 4 games he's played so far this year.

well in one of my leagues the next three weeks are against the 1st, 2nd and 4th ranked sides in my comp (i'm 3rd)...

and in the Hogg i have another tough couple after this week...

3 mid rangers in my third league is ok...

however Judd's break even is only 70 so expect him to rise in value after this week.

i've decided to stick with Jetta as his BE is -20 so he'll go up even with a slow week.

after this week i'll be able to straight swap Hodge IN for Hunt/Raines/Everitt/Ladson which will be nice and i'll almost have the side i want...

Nuggety. Forget about trying to smash it in all three leagues. Look at the league you most want to win and base your strategy around that. Trying to win three at the same time is a good recipie for trade burning.

I'd like to discuss my latest moves but seeing as I am playing Gingernuts in the Piglet this week I'm giving him Bubkus. BTW Ginge, what were your trades this week?

Got a hole in the midfield this week and plan to fill it but have to free up idle cash.

Trade Houli or Waite?

Similar prices and not in favour with coaching staff.

Both are duel position players (Houli mid/def, Waite def/for)
Right in front of me. RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!

Reckon I am going to hold on to Hunt rather than trade him to Davis as I planned. Geelong play Richmond this week so Hunt should go alright. It's an unnecessary trade so I'll let Davis go.

Still keen on Bastinac-Judd but will wait until the final teams are announced. Only hesitating because Martin being out means I have no bench cover.
In between signatures .....
