ROUND THREE
League Rank 4912

1 Mosquitoes 6887
2 Woodys Dropkick 6781
3 Hondominators YSCC 6447
4 Captain Who? 6431
5 LKIF 6411
6 Matty's Knights 6274
7 CoverKing's Army 6257
8 Leisa's Lovelies 6096

9 wycbloods 6084
10 Supre Cil Dluohs 5974
11 The Browns 5887
12 The Dark Knights 5842
13 Dutchys Dodos 5652
14 cobras 5249
15 Blue Boy 4191
16 PicklesPA 3928

The Mozzies and Woody still have a healthy advantage over Hondo but the big news of Round three was a sub 2000 score by the highly rated LKIF side. CoverKing had a reasonable week a contender from last year, the Supre Cil Dluohs look well off the pace so far.

I'm hearing ya Dutchy! Geez I need some injured Crows to get back ASAP. What a terrible round for The Dark Knights! My fault for picking Crows in the first place I spose.

Division I Round 1

Leisa's Lovelies vs  Supre Cil Dluohs
Captain Who? vs  Hondominators YSCC
cobras vs  Mosquitoes
The Browns vs  The Dark Knights
Blue Boy vs  Matty's Knights
wycbloods vs  PicklesPA
Dutchys Dodos vs  Woodys Dropkick
CoverKing's Army vs  LKIF

The match of the round in the first week of games is between Groover's Captain Who? and the Hondominators (not typing in the rest of that rubbish!). Groover has been a lot less conspicous about the Hogg boards but we all now that Hondo has refrained from pulling the trigger on any trades so far. With so many strong sides in this division it is a match that both coaches will not want to lose. Hondo appears to have the edge but he might have to open the wallett, let the moths fly out and do some trading. Another top clash looms between CoverKing's Army and LKIF. CoverKing will fancy his chances here against LKIF who stumbled a bit last week. It would be a good scalp to pick up for CK as this site doesn't have too many posters who can stand up to the AFLO Coaches who are currently dominating the Hogg. Go CK!

I've got 2 trades lined up pending confirmation of whether Gray and Tippett both stay in the sides.

Jono Brown will be replacing Riewoldt and Tippett will likely go down to a rookie

I am feeling more confident this week with Gray hopefully back. Groover has a nice side but a couple of injury issues to deal with like I do. Should be a great match!

ROUND 1

CoverKing has stunned the Hogg world with a monstrous 2347 to send smiddaz' highly ranked LKIF plummeting down to the foot of the Division I table. Such a performance places CK in the role of the defender of safooty.net SuperCoaching as we have been well and truly owned by AFL Online coaches over the past two years. Can CoverKing continue to be 'the great white hope' or is the only way down from here? Groover won the big match against Hondo and as expected, the Mozzies and Woody had first up wins. Pickles PA finally paid some attention to his side but was no match for the WYCBLOODS.

D'oh! Major management error in my haste Friday night, used my 2nd trade before I'd covered the donut in my back line. And to only go down by 11 points! Oh well, should be right this week. Except for Kerr of course. If I never put him in any of my teams again, it will be too soon.

Division I Round 2

Leisa's Lovelies vs Captain Who?
Supre Cil Dluohs vs Hondominators YSCC
cobras vs The Browns
Mosquitoes vs The Dark Knights
Blue Boy vs wycbloods
Matty's Knights vs PicklesPA
Dutchys Dodos vs CoverKing's Army
Woodys Dropkick vs LKIF

Hondo features in the match of the round yet again as we all wait for him to do something this season. The dominators racked up the highest losing score of the round last week and look well placed to defeat Supre Cil Dluohs who opened their season with a win against the Lovelies last week. LKIF has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in recent weeks and after copping a shellacking from a rampant CoverKing now faces up to Woodys Dropkick who is one of the most consistent teams in the Hogg. It can only get easier from here for smiddaz' boys but an 0-2 start looms for LKIF.

Some very good scores this week. Very happy with my 2360, with 113 out of Rioli, Peterson and Gray. this league is going pretty well need to score high to get a win.

ROUND 2

Results

Leisa's Lovelies 2,120 def by 2,257 Captain Who?
Supre Cil Dluohs 2,352 def 2,212 Hondominators YSCC
cobras 1,823 def by 1,924 The Browns
Mosquitoes 2,090 def by 2,196 The Dark Knights
Blue Boy 2,068 def by 2,360 wycbloods
Matty's Knights 2,116 def 1,449 PicklesPA
Dutchys Dodos 2,172 def by 2,384 CoverKing's Army
Woodys Dropkick 1,938 def 1,889 LKIF

Hogg Division I had some more insane scoring in the second round of the season with three players topping 2300 for the round including CoverKing who has now gone 2300 in back to back weeks. wycbloods posted 2360 to annilate ex-premier league Blue Boy and SCD posted 2352 to clean up the winless Hondo. Dutchy, Hondo and Leisa were all unlucky to get done and well done to the Dark Knights who knocked off the Mosquitos a team that was leading the overall Hogg rankings earlier in the season. As Dutchy said above, this IS a tough comp!

You've got a very nice team. I have been holding back some cash and trades and it's costing me although one trade I did was to bring in Brown and he scored 39 while you don't have him! Aaarrggghhh

Well played all the same.

It's a very tough comp that's for sure. Far out.

Thanks mate, I don't have a lot of cash left ($30k), but a few cash cows like Rockliff and Podsiadly...

This is going to be a very competitive league, with promotion being well earnt...

The two teams who get promoted to Hogg Premier have a good chance of having a major impact in that comp much as Darcy has done this year. A lot of us Premier coaches are only there because we were in the first Hogg and have done well enough to avoid relegation.

For those not in the Hogg in 2007 or even 2008 getting to Hogg Premier is the hard part. For those of us that are there, staying in the Hogg is the hard part for us and the Premier League keeps on getting better every season (Div I this year is better than Hogg Premier was last year). Div I has turned evil this season and I reckon the same thing will happen in Div II next season.

Division I Round 3

Leisa's Lovelies vs  Hondominators YSCC
Supre Cil Dluohs vs  Captain Who?
cobras vs  The Dark Knights
Mosquitoes vs  The Browns
Blue Boy vs  PicklesPA
Matty's Knights vs  wycbloods
Dutchys Dodos vs  LKIF
Woodys Dropkick vs  CoverKing's Army

There are some absolutely huge clashes in this very competitive league in the second round. Top side Matty's Knights is set to lose his crown as he takes on the high scoring wycbloods outfit. CoverKing's Army has been on the march for the last couple of games and his very strong squad should put the wind up Woodys Dropkick. The winner of these two games will have a sense of what Hogg Premier League action is like in most weeks with the losers a step behind in the quest for promotion.

Another key clash is between the much improved SCD combination and Groover's Captain, who is following up last season's solid showing in Division III with a bold opening in Division I. Hondo must make a stand this week against Leisa's Lovelies whose initial squad had many flaws that will not be quickly remedied. The Mosquitos need to get that early season bite back to Brown off the Browns and you can expect a win by The Dark Knights over the cobras who don't appear to be up to this division on current form. The Dodos could once again become extinct if they can't do what everyone else has been doing and knocking off LKIF who has not been able to replicate his pre-season form. Blue Boy should be able to account for the likely wooden spooner PicklesPA who looks set to be in Hogg Division II next season.
