Alright, my problems last week appear to be clearing. I had 4 non-scorers including Heath Scotland, Adam McPhee, Robert Murphy and Nathan Bock.

It appears Scotland is on the verge of a re-call this week.

McPhee returns from suspension.

Robert Murphy likely to play his first game back from injury.

Bock may be reprieved this weekend.

After Jordan McMahon was dropped, he was on my bench but it looks like he will get a re-call after a 40 + possession game last weekend.

That leaves me with skinny Steve Hill on the bench as an emergency.

I have Murphy as a forward but Taylor Walker had been covering him until he returned.

I'm left with a dilemma of two trades, with $240,000 in the bank.

Anyone done any trades this week?

Not yet.

I traded Nathan Bock out last week for Peter Burgoyne which i was happy enough with until Burgoyne got suspended. So probably use at least one trade today or tomorrow.

He's another I have put in my main side this week after nursing him on the bench.

Mitch Robinson and Zaharakis sitting it out.

40 and 25 touches in his past two VFL games, he better be in. Word is he will be.

Still toying with the idea of taking the small profit from Skipworth's increase in value and trading him for Beams whose value could almost double by next week. This would give me close to $200K to play with and maybe I could give Clint Bartram the flick for someone a bit better.

What about Brendon Whitecross? didn't he pull in big numbers on the weekend?

Yep, but he's already gone up $67K. Beams has only played two games so far, looks the goods to play a number of games this year too.

I got rid of Scott Stevens and Bachar Houli this week and brought in Josh Drummond and Houlihan. Should almost have my team complete for no more trades in the near future barring injuries. Looking forward to Ablett bringing me in another few hundred as captain this week. The bloke is an absolute gun and worth every penny.

I'm stuck with Stephen Tiller who has turned out to be a fringe player at the Bulldogs. He was a last minute inclusion last week and missed the week before.

I am holding onto 2 injured players on my bench in defence so Tiller's absence = donut

So I am probably going to use my 1st trade this week and swap him for Rance and keep the $130K in the bank. Was going to get Broughton but sounds like he will miss this week. The $130K can go towards a gun like Dal Santo hopefully in a few weeks.

That all depends on who's in and out when the teams are named.

Why don't you spend the spare $130K on someone like Dayne Beams, that way you could end up with an extra $170K in a few weeks instead of $130K.

I could actually get Dayne Beams anyway because he's still the same price as Liam Anthony who is sitting injured on my bench. But it costs me a trade.

Rance will go up in value after this round too so I should end up with $130K + Rance's increase, but only 1 trade burned.

My plan then was to downgrade someone like Rance or Suban to Broughton in a few weeks and then hopefully have enough $ to upgrade a mid price player for a gun.

What scores are we all sitting on that this stage? I'm on 6332 which is a mile behind the leaders.

He's referring to the Hogg Shield. It's a league on here that competes for the "shield".

REB has explained its origins in the past but I can't be stuffed.
