Otto's done a knee today at Cat Park so that makes it 5 injuries from 11 completed matches. According to ABC radio it's 4-6 weeks out with medial rather than anterior cruciate damage. :(

Cats can't win the flag without him IMO.

Forward line fired, but picked up another injury. Defense was poor, could cause me some trouble.

2,119 with only 21 playing

As predicted my defence was weak, I didn't realise my risky cheap pick Stephen Tiller was dropped along with Raines and Hurley being out. So I had a donut.

I might do my first trade this week to do something about it, but not sure yet.

On a positive, seem to have avoided any further major injuries and most of my guns fired this week except for Hodge and Goddard. Selwood has started slowly.

2020 this week for me, exactly 100 less than my first week score. Not a bad effort, anything over 2000 is a fairly decent score. Does anyone know why Daisy Thomas was not playing on the weekend? Was he injured against the Crows?

5 injuries in two rounds. Otto and Hentschell got hurt so this week I got 21 points for those two players compared to 241 points the week before! Robinson in for the injured Tuck has cost me another 70 points. At last Pav and Deledio fired to give me a reasonable total of 1868 which is OK considering the above disasters. Could do with a bit of luck but somehow I'm still in the top four even with my dreaded injury run.

Is there a verdict on Hentschell's injury yet?

The Crowies have been very quiet about this one. I've tried to do some research but have come up empty handed. There is some guesswork on FanFooty and bugger all on BF and of course nothing in the mainstream. I'm going to give Walker a run and bench Hentschell. I have to do something about Ottens and Raines so Trent will be on the pine. This week the Crows play Freo and I reckon that Walker might be able to cut loose in this game. The week after that they play the Cats so maybe the trade will come then cos I can't see Walker or a returning Hentschell (that's if he misses) being much of a points pig in that game.

Shannon Hurn seems to be finding a bit of the footy, he's right in the mix to replace Raines for me, perhaps along with Houlihan.

2195 with one 0 and Hill and Brown pretty ordinary. Still some room for improvement.

Interesting topic on Superfooty forum, (sorry, dont know how to add link  ) talking about how every AFL match gets allocated 3300 supercoach points regardless of how many stats/goals/tackles are racked up each game. Very bizarre if true. Anyone know anymore about this??

There is a guy on BigFooty's SuperCoash board going ON and ON and ON and ON about it too. Topic called "SuperCoach point scoring is rigged"

His two main issues seem to be this 3300 point allocation and re-allocations of points that apparently happen during a game following a major "momentum shift". Don't know if he's right or wrong. I think he thinks there's some sort of conspiracy going on.

He seemed to be tying himself of a knot because of nothing other than he doesn't understand the system, so he then tangented off on to the softness of the game, the AFL, Adrian Anderson, rule changes ....

I challenge anyone to fully understand and explain the scoring system in SC. My understanding is that momentum and 'decisive actions' are involved but to me the SC scoring is more 'realistic' for want of a better word.

SC takes into account the effectiveness of possessions. Therefore you don't go selecting a Jordon McMahon in SC when he is a pretty good option for DT. SC also rewards contested possession. A contested mark and those that take them are gold. This is why Pavlich, Riewoldt and Richardson are such high scoring players (although St Nick is off to a slow start this year).

Hi Duncs. Yep there are some duddy scores going on in Hogg Premier to be sure. It will probably take a couple of years before we weed out all of the pretenders. There is a guy in Hogg Division I who is really racking up the numbers so Darios and Blue should be looking over their shoulders. Dario is going to bugger off to Canada next year anyway so he will probably not be there this year and perhaps be a bit of an easybeat this year in the Hogg.
