Ah! This ladder is going straight to the Pool Room.

TEAM_FISH's top start to the season came undone as the dangerous WLF cleaned them up by over two hundred points in the sixth round to send the FISH tumbling to third spot on the ladder. The Cat Empire cleaned up the Sunny Boys to take FISH's place but the real star of this league is Harrynutts who have now won their 21st straight minor round match in a row. Harrynutts have a Hogg career record of 23-1 with his only defeat coming at the hands of Pump of Ze Jams in the Grand Final in the Bunny Bowl last year. BlueOwlOde was the latest victim of the nuts as he carded an ordinary 1963 and didn't give a yelp.

The latest hardluck story goes to LMA whose Crab Mustard side took the mantle off of FridayKnightFool as they scored 2421 and lost by eight points to the Fools who did something very similar last week. As long as you blokes keep doing this to each other and not me I'm more than happy with that ha ha. Meanwhile, early season hard luck story Trader has now climbed into the eight so look out for FridayKnightFool later in the year perhaps.

So who is in and could miss out? The Killer Wombats! could be a contender to miss the boat because maybe if the Fool doesn't get them the lodgelads will. Lodgey has also been racking up the points and not winning games but that didn't happen this week as they thumped the BLOODS who have fallen off the pace a bit. With the number of high scoring teams in this league now is the time to be collecting wins because once bye season hits the best laid plans could all fall to pieces.

THE BLOODS and TEAM_FISH both have our fair share of non-perfromers this week but I should scrape through, hopefully anyway. :-ss

THE BLOODS: 34points + Zorko, Thompson, Shuey.

TEAM_FISH: Firrito, Scotland, Johnson, Cox.

The Empire has not yet fallen after the WLF Barbarians were sent packing by 164 points in Round 7. Harrynutts looks to be the better side though and they continued on with their unbeaten Minor Round run which dates back to the start of last season. Who can defeat the mighty macca? I guess we'll have to wait until Grand Final day ha ha...unless he plays me DOH.

The FISH got back on the bike if you can imagine such a thing and they look prepared to scale new heights I can fillett in me bones. This week the FISH snuck over the line against an unlucky BLOODS in a close one. The Lodgelads snuck into the eight when they took a stranglehold on the Willies who slipped to sixth. Crabby will be feeling a little less so as finally the wins are coming but Trader and FridayKnightFool suffered costly losses that they can't afford.

With the top eight pretty much wide open (now BlueOwlOde and Pump up ze Jams have joined the party as well) it is pretty clear which teams are in danger of appearing on that TV drama Division IV. A five team battle at the bottom of the ladder is on with the winner to avoid the drop. The Goonies and Giraffes look GAWN already for mine so it could be three teams duking it out to survive being relegated.

Having now played 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 9th and 18th, I'm not too unhappy to be at 3-4 especially with those 4 losses being 8, 10, 12 and 39pts.

I play 11th, 16th, 17th, 15th and 14th over the coming 5 weeks and should see some wins, but with 3 of those games in the dreaded bye weeks, it's a total lottery. Seems my bad luck could continue! haha.

Loving this league with plenty of close games to keep things interesting!

It's desparate times for more than a few teams in Hogg Division III with six sides looking to have already booked their spots in the finals this season. Pump up ze Jams have continued on with their recent good form and have now climbed out of the ruck and into seventh place on the ladder with an important victory over fellow finals aspirant Trader who must be wondering what they need to do to get a win.

In the match of the round WLF once again came off second best in an important match as they failed to end the winning run of Harrynutts. WLF looked right in it for most of the weekend but in a close shave once again the Harrynutts have proven to be too tough to crack.

The Lodgelads are another team that score well but have yet to book their finals place. On paper it was how far lodgey but come match day it was the struggling Backyarders who won the day and they can now hope to escape the relegation zone. FridayKnightFool are in all sorts of bother after they became the first side in Division III to lose to the Goonies who have been gradually improving their scoring in recent weeks. The Baby Giraffes have now won two straight matches after winning quite easily against the unpredictable BlueOwlOde combination.

Crab Mustard have bee sneaking under the radar a bit in this division but I reckon they are a really strong chance to go all the way as most teams in this Divvy can't seem to keep up with his scoring levels. And yes folks that was an almighty MOZZ. Let's hope it bloody works. ;)

You've got to make the Prelmin Final to go up.

If The Cat Empire makes the prelim - which is looking pretty likely - how is the fourth promotion spot decided?

Highest ranked Semi Final winner (total points) seems to be the fairest way to go there. Empire hasn't played FISH, Crab Mustard, Harrynutts, Killer Wombats or lodgelads so not a lock yet.
