I had to post the total point rankings after the ladder shows i finished 10th and i finished 2nd overall on total points. Just had an unlucky season. I finished 1st and 3rd in two other leagues that were ranked higher than this league.

my team was mainly worked around a $100 league i am in where i am in top 4 and playing finals so i don't mind. Just funny seeing how different each league is.

Didnt deserve it either! Couldnt get my head around the zillion trades. Hope they dont bring that in for Super Coach.

Agree, the top teams are all so similar, takes the strategic trading out of the game and all those trigger happy coaches win out!

Although my DT has been better than my SC i have enjoyed SC more this season.

I thought the key to it was making sure you used your 2 trades every week even when it wasnt required. I would trade out someone with a massive BE and bring in someone with a very low BE to make the cash. Also upgrading rookies earlier than you would in SC especially when another rookie was on the bubble

I made the finals in Div 2 and the Last Cup of Sorrow leagues but I doubt I will make too much of an impact in the finals. Just been a little off the pace all season.

I have done the same thing days, although the last few weeks i haven't been able to with all the injuries and suspensions i have copped (every body has copped since we got the same teams haha)

Cossi, what comp doesnt have very similar teams anyway and as you said it all comes down to luck of the draw.
The amount of times teams have the 2nd highest score in the league and lose is very high.
Will be interesting to see how many DT have Beams in this week

Yeh that is my point about DT. SC you can't just trade out an injured player or a player not performing every week as you will waste your trades and will not be able to upgrade meaning there will be more differences and variations throughout each side.

DT allows you to do all of this with unlimited trades, obviously only 2 a week but by the end of the season everyone (well the top sides) was always going to end up with the top 5-10 scoring players in their side.

On the Beams one, i think you will find there will be a lot of sideways trading in DT to remove the lowest scoring midfielder to bring him in. SC however, unless you have trades up your sleeve he will not be making an appearance. To those coaches who have gone through the season and preserved their trades, jump on this bad boy!!
