Bunny Bowl Finals Previews

Elimination Finals
Northern Cats v Noel’s Caravans
BrenDamage v Parky Crusaders

Qualifying Finals
Bunnyhop v JJ Jrunks
crockocrack v Heaters Hotshots

The Bunny Bowl finals this year is almost like a Division V minor finals series with the Caravans, Bunnyhop, JJ Jrunks, crockocrack and Heaters Hotshots all appearing. JJ, crockocrack and the Hotshots are all doubling up in the Division V finals as well. This makes the promotion/relegation scenario very murky indeed for the Warren but the reality is most of these top eight sides are probably going to get promoted. In the knockouts the Caravans look out of their depth against Division IV side Northern Cats who were the last team admitted to the Bunny after lesser teams did not accept the invitation. The Caravans need to win through to the Prelims to undo the relegation they suffered last week in Division V but I can’t see them getting by Northern Cats. BrenDamage and Parky Crusaders are both playing in their first final and because of the nature of the league the winner will probably earn promotion but possibly not for the loser. I reckon Parky can get the job done and advance to the Semi Finals and possibly, Division V next season.

The prize on offer for the Quallies is not only a ticket out of the Warren but a chance to play in Hogg Champions League next season. At this level you have to go on and win the flag but the double chance is a good starting point. Minor premier Bunnyhop is in his second Bunny season and has made much better moves this year and doesn’t have to play against anyone as good as Pump up ze Jams or Harrynutts this time around. He faces a tough match against JJ Jrunks and can win it. I reckon crockocrack can get the job done in the other Qualia with Heater having to wait another week to see if they can escape the Warren but all four sides are far too good to stay down here and probably won’t.

I just had a look at Brendamage's team.

I am confident.

Winning in the worst division though, it's like kissing your sister.

No winning the Bunny Bowl is like kissing your sister if you're a Tasmanian. The winner gets a spot in Champions League next season. Also Parky, a win here will see you go up because most of the top teams in this Divvy are already in Divvy V. That makes it more like kissing someone else's sister. GEAR!

With Swan being a tool, Porpus being made of glass, and Smedts out (i've wanted to get rid of Billie for a loooooong time, but have always had more important changes to make), i'm struggling. looking at two donuts.

There was some good scoring in the first week of the Bunny Bowl finals which shows exactly why most of these teams won't be in the Warren again next season. Parky has earnt promotion (probably at the expense of Noel's Caravans) to Division V with his finals win against BrenDamage who is not yet ready to go up and on rankings is not the equal of Mossys Superstars or Motorboats FC.

Young gun Bunnyhop scored a comfortable victory over Heater to earn the week off and have a real shot at being a shock representative in the Champions league next season. Another good side in the running for this honour is crockocrack who easily accounted for JJ's Jrunks. Northern Cats live to fight another day but they will not be in the Warren next year as they are a Division IV side who narrowly missed the drop to V.

Season over then for BrenDamage in his best performance and Noel's Caravans whose promising season has turned to shite since the bye period.

I had a look at your side, and I couldn't work out how you scored so badly this week...
I've only got Franklin (maybe) to come in, and all my forwards scored well that he wouldn't be a huge spike even at his best.

Bunny Bowl Finals Preview

1st Semi Final Heaters Hotshots vs. Northern Cats

Its Division IV verses Division V in this Semi as both teams battle it out to survive the chop from this year’s Bunny Bowl. There is no promotion on offer here but the winner of this match will remain in the hunt to win the one Hogg Champions League place on offer for this division.

The Northern Cats look to be the superior combination in this match and I expect Andy to end Heater’s Bunny Bowl season in this match reasonably comfortably. The Northern Cats have trades up their sleeve after missing the lockout several times during the minor round. While this didn’t help his Division IV campaign it won’t hurt in his quest to win the Bunny Bowl. The winner of this match will face crockocrack in the Prelim and I reckon Northern Cats will advance.

2nd Semi Final JJ’s Jrunks vs. Parky Crusaders

The Bunny Bowl finals series represents Media Park’s big chance to win a Hogg title as well as giving him a bit of a preview of some sides he may be facing next year as he has been promoted to Division V next season. This week sees the Crusaders up against Division V finalist JJ Jrunks for the right to remain the hunt for Bunny Bowl honours.

In this final Parkys Crusaders have earned the right to favouritism after recording some pretty good scores in recent weeks most notably last week as he ended BrenDamage’s season. If Parky can continue with this sort of scoring he’ll be more than competitive in the finals in the Warren as well as in Division V next year. Parky has won promotion and now the next goal is a Bunny Bowl flag and a place in Hogg Champions League which would be a massive step up from any Supercoach league he has ever entered. Parkys Crusaders should win with JJ to get Jrunk on Mad Monday.

I've got a donut already before kick off with Hargrave suspended. I've named Bews on the field in hope of 14 Geelong players getting dropped so he can have a run.

JJ's got Juddy back this week, whilst I have Buddy back.

Different players:
JJ:
B. Deledio
B. Lake
S. Burgoyne
P. Davis
R. Shaw
J. Selwood
D. Swan (has J. Magner)
C. Judd
D. Cox
D. Petrie
D. Zorko (I have him but on the bench)
A. Goodes
B. Smedts (Again, on my bench)
A. Didak

Me:
Geary
Morris
Mattner
SD Thompson
Bews (donut)
Rockliff
Pendles
Gibbs
McLean
Maric
Stevie J
Buddy
Walker
Devon Smith

I think he has a better midfield, I think I'll win the forward battle though.

Great game looming.

Decided to pimp the MPP scenario.
Swapped Zorko (fwd bench) and Sherman (mid bench).
Then Zorko off the bench for Brock McLean.

And I've settled on Swan, Josh Kennedy as the C.

The first stanza:
Parky 413 JJ 303

Both had Enright/Goddard ton up.
Parky Geary 89/JJ Selwood 81
Parky Stevie J 102
Parky Bews donut

Had two extras play only a ton ahead...

that will even up a bit with with a donut from Magner (unless he's a late inclusion).

Also got O'hanlan in, whos projected is 32, and every chance Didak may start as the SUB again, been named on the bench with Seedsman (3rd best last week), Elliott, and Clarke. Seed is the only one i think won't be starting as the SUB. think it will be either Didz or Clarke.

our overall projected scores have you beating me by 3 points. 8)

After saturday games, all of our common players have played (and only Zorko with 93 did not score a ton).
Parky: 1779 with Kennedy (c), Mattner, Franklin, Ablett
JJ: 1404 with Cox, Goodes, R Shaw, Kennedy, Lake, Burgoyne, G Ablett jnr (c)

Predicted:
Parky 2353
JJ 2286

With the lads you have to come, I am pretty much relying on Buddy to play, and to play a full game and dominate. Because if he does that, he will score a monster, otherwise you'll run over the top of me.
