Yep I copped the 30. With Mzungu and Callninan going down that threw my forward line plans into disarray. Way too early to hit the panic button though.

How long do you persist with Yarran. If it was that easy for White to take him out, I have concerns other teams will replicate this to greater effect.
I fear being stuck with him ala Andrew Carrazzo last season.

Reasonable start so far.

Gibbs[VC] - 138 (276)
Deledio - 92
Conca - 61

Duigan - 59 [EMG]

Will lock in the VC's score and leave the big C on a GCS player - no need to get greedy. Just have to decide whether I want Duigan's score or take a gamble on another rookie posting a higher one.

Will your GC player be on the field and you taking a gamble that an emergency will play?

The way I see it, it's reasonable to use 1 or 2 trades in the first three or four rounds to fix any errors of judgement, or jump on a moo-ing rookie you missed.

At the moment a GCS player is on the field, with Duigan as emergency. I could leave it as is and take Duigan's score (and hope there are no late withdrawals in defence) OR I replace the GCS player with the third rookie that is on my bench and is named to play this weekend (hoping he will score higher than Duigan).

I have a feeling I will regret trading out Libretore yesterday for Helbig.

Gee I'm glad I traded out both B. Martin and Yarran yesterday.
Cotchin was a gamble, but okay so far.
Have taken the risk though with Higgins, we'll see what happens there.

Went VC Judd, so will probably set C to Pendles or Goddard.

Hardwick admitted in his press conference that Foley had gastro going into the game, so you'd be spewing (like Foley) if you'd picked him.

Duigan had a pretty good debut, wonder if Heppell will score better...

Had both top scorers (Gibbs & Newman) so pretty happy with that.

Duigan not bad for an emergency. Vickery 60, jurys out, but all in all a pretty good start. Will have a quick look at my team in my lunch break but I think it's time to put tools down.

Tempted to switch out some of my GC rookies for blokes playing this weekend, but I I'll resist the urge.

Traded in Yarran yesterday for riewoldt which was a horrible move.

Was happy with conca and duigan so will probably settle for their scores. Otten in defence continues to worry me and might make a late change there.

Have decided to gamble and will select a captain, either pendles, goddard or sandi....

I'm sticking with Otten. Once he gets a few games under his belt he will be in the crows starting 18. Will have to play Duigan on the field in the mean time.

Very happy with bringing Ed Curnow in at the last minute last night.
Only an emergency though. :(
Price should skyrocket after last night's performance though.

I put Otten on the bench. He'll get more game time as the season goes on. As for Yarran, my bank is solid so I can trade up or down if things go pear shaped. Liking the look of J Riewoldt already.

Not so much a problem, but for those looking to trade him in, be aware that his high score this weekend will only figure in one price increase, as the game drops out of his rolling average after the first increase. Also, Carlton player tougher opponents after GCS next week.

What happened to Nathan Foley (24DT points) last night?? Was he subbed due to injury or is he just a spud that I got sucked in by at $235G?? Heaps happy I had him in the midfield and Ed Curnow on the pine

Apparently Hardwick took him into the game even though Foley had gastro. Hence the early sub.
