Barlow Plans?

Worth a seperate thread, so what are you going to do with Barlow now out for the year?

Probably good for those with $$$ in the bank and can upgrade to another premium. Or is there any low hanging fruit (underperforming mids) worth grabbing?

Too soon to think about it but not happy about needing to use a trade.

1/ Presuming you have trades left
2/ What strategy?

I think Pav had a high BE this round and had a poor game so he is high on my radar and may be a straight swap and add to the bank

At this stage I am thinking Judd but I'll need to look at the prices next week and see if there is an alternative that will free up more cash

I think that shelves any further upgrade plans. I really feel sorry for Barlow after such a great season.

I'm thinking with Rich on my bench, I might trade Barlow for a cheap mid (someone who I won't play), and get rid of one of my shocking forwards for a Pav type.

This thread has snuck under the radar a bit. I haven't seen too many teams that didn't have Barlow in it. Barlow was a consistent scorer that everybody seemed to have. Now we all have to decide how we are going to replace him. This decision will prove decisive in the majority of the Hogg Premierships. Those that select a consistent scorer will go on their merry way - those who pick an inconsistent replacement (or are not able to replace him) will fall by the wayside.

HUGE DECSION for many coaches coming up.

Spot on REB I think this will be a decisive decision for the Finals!
I plan to put in hours of research in to ensure I trade for the right player, including who Q has in his team!

Thinking of downgrading to Carruzo (due to his low price and MPP abilities) which will allow an upgrade on Kennelly or Nason to Gilbert. This still protects my cash in the bank for a later upgrade in the midfield. On match averages Ill gain about 20-30 points and think there is upside to Caruzzo.

I got Carrots when he was scoring really well to shore up a wobbly Straycats defence and then he started playing defensive roles and his scoring has died in the ar5e. Get Kelly or Gilbee instead.
